"The George is often our go to for relaxed birthday meals, the menu is great and the staff are always really friendly and attentive. We had a great meal last night, starters and mains camembert sharer, squid and brie and then mains the plant based burger, a pizza, quarter chicken, chicken milanese and two children's meals. All were delicious. My only complaint would be that the ladies toilets were pretty grim last night. I visited twice with my young daughter and it seems quite a few female customers haven't grasped the concept of flushing!"

the wait of ordering on the main course on the table was 1 hour that I found as unacceptable as I entertained friends as a shame as the waiter friendly and eating well, but the experience was spoiled by the delay

they could not fail the service or eating, but are pleased that we had to hike to the parking lot in the rear in a disabled room then all around the front of the building to get in. why there is no door from the parking lot.

As a group of 6 we all had differing main courses from the a la carte menu. All were well presented and cooked to taste. Desserts were also good and 2 guests enjoyed the mini with a drink option. A quiet table was requested and suitably positioned.

We recently visited The George after it was renovated for the first time and we were extremely impressed by the new decor and layout of the restaurant. The manager, Del, should be commended for his very welcoming and helpful staff. We opted for the wine and dine experience priced at £100 and were delighted by the quality of the food from the starter all the way to dessert, complemented by a fantastic selection of wine. We will surely be making another reservation soon as The George has become a place we want to keep coming back to.
