Always a treat to go here, my favourite cafe in Ilminster, and possibly shop with all the local veg refills. Really friendly, great food the BEST chai latte around. 100% recommend.

We were looking for a lunch stop on our way to Devon and stumbled on this place. The food was very different and all the better for it. The hot chocolate was to die for. A very special place.

We had heard great things about this cafe, and we were pleasantly surprised by how amazing it was! The service was exceptional, and the homemade coffee was the best. There are plenty of indoor and outdoor seating options, and they are also dog-friendly. We will definitely return when we are back in the area! View menu

Stopped at the pretty town of Ilminster on the way to Taunton. The Green House was a real delight to eat at. I had the lentil pie and salad. Excellent!! My husband had the chocolate macaroon and coffee. He said that the macaroon was very...fresh and mouth watering. The coffee is exceptional. I wonder what brand they use? High recommended.

Had the shakshuka(May be the wrong spelling), eggs in a tomato sauce, I just about sucked the veneer off the plate it was that good. I am a coffee snob and they make the he best coffee around, trust me it's true. Oh and they...are also just amazing people, I am just sad that I can't go in more often, oh and did I say that have awesome cake that my wife just loves.

for the first time visit this caffe today. they sell vegan/vegetarian food in the shop like a grocery store. on the café side. ordered flat white coffee and a piece of chocolate torte. very rich, but beautiful. more reasonable price. beautiful ambiente. dogs can go...too would recommend. park them before or on the road for an hour or park in tescos parking up to 3 hours. Whether you just want a cake and a coffee, or a more substantial meal there is plenty of choice, everything is locally sourced and delicious. Beautiful eco-friendly paints, gifts, hand and useful items including bamboo toothbrushes ranging through to non-plastic glitter. You can also take...your bags or boxes to buy a range of dry goods AND get your washing up liquid or laundry liquids replenished. What is not to LOVE about this place??

This restaurant is a fantastic place to visit. The service is very friendly, the food is delicious and freshly prepared, whether vegan or not, and the tea is also good. They have a unique selection of green products you can purchase, such as vinegar, etc. The location is really pleasant, not in Ilminster, but slightly outside in Whitelackington (close to A303), situated on a beautiful piece of land with plenty of free parking and close to footpaths. It is a truly hidden gem.

On our journey back to London from Cornwall, we decided to stop at this charming family-owned restaurant. While I grabbed lunch near the Ilminster junction, my wife discovered this hidden gem known as "The Square." Despite some initial skepticism due to its remote location, we were pleasantly surprised by the warm welcome from the friendly staff. Although the selection of hot food was somewhat limited, my wife thoroughly enjoyed her vegan buddha bowl, so much so that we ordered an extra portion.
