The staff were very helpful and polite; however, there was only one employee working, and with about ten people in line, it took me 15 minutes to get two drinks on a Tuesday evening at 5:30. I wonder why there aren't more staff available to assist customers. Price per person: £50–60. Food rating: 4/5.

We had our first Christmas meal of 2023, and I want to extend my gratitude to Alice, our waitress, who was fantastic. The pub was bustling on Saturday night, but our food came out quickly and was served hot. Everyone was happy with their meals, and all the staff did an excellent job managing the crowded pub. As for parking, even though it was busy, there were still free spaces available. The price per person was between £20 and £30.

We spent a few hours at the local church to lay my mum to rest. The experience was lovely and stress-free, and the meals were all well-prepared. The only complaint I have is about the portion sizes. They were full-priced meals, but they didn’t seem to offer good value for money. I understand that prices have risen, but instead of serving a garnish of wilted and dried rocket, it would have been better to provide a few extra chips. Additionally, the gammon was cross-cut and not tender; it didn’t appear to be 8 oz. On a positive note, the vegetarian options were very nice, and the vegan selection was great as well. View menu
