"Stumbled across this gem, warm welcome upon entry, lovely clean venue, well lit with a comfortable feel. We were acknowledged immediately and sat at our table. Menu was not to big and seemed reasonably priced. Our starters came out promptly, presented well, hot and on heated plates seems ridiculous but now we are a bit longer in the tooth its the little things that matter to us) food was tasty and cooked just right. Main courses were delivered not long after. My hake was cooked perfectly with a sauce that was to die for. I didnt try the rest of our tables food but the empty plates and big smiles told the story, so much better than what we experienced just the day before nearer to home. You folks are a credit to the area and we will be back when we find ourselves down that way in the future. Marvellous!"

Lovely restaurant. Staff were so helpful and friendly. All three courses were delicious. The aged sirloin was simply the best we have ever had. Other dishes were complex and modern and beautifully presented. Well done.

We have dined at your restaurant several times and have always enjoyed our meals, but the new tasting menu on Saturday evening was outstanding! It was the best meal we have had in a long time. We look forward to dining with you again soon!

Even though this restaurant is an hour drive from our home, we will definitely return. Our friends introduced us to it and we're so glad they did. The food was excellent, with a wide variety of options and delicious flavors presented beautifully. The service was also fantastic. What a gem! We can't wait to visit again.

Each time I go, I hold my breath fearful of disappointment, but the Barrington Boar just keeps getting better. The menu changes regularly, but not so regularly that you can't go back for more of the same of something you enjoyed. The food is imaginative and the building itself is so cosy and warm. I hate to give a 5 as I feel there is always something that can be tweaked, but I love this place so much I'm giving in to it. 5 Stars with thanks for being in the sticks with me!

We were warmly welcomed by the bar staff when we arrived at the restaurant. Despite it being very busy, the staff handled the crowd well and we didn't have to wait long for service. The drinks selection was great and reasonably priced. The food was excellent for all of us, with superb flavors and impressive presentation. We all agreed that it was top-notch. The staff took good care of us throughout the evening. Thank you for a wonderful experience. We highly recommend a visit to this restaurant.
