Not my first visit and hopefully not the last! Simply delicious food, excellent wine and friendly and knowledgable staff. If available I'll recommend the **** Mary oysters!

Great food but the service was patchy we got our drinks after the food had arrived we had to ask for salt and pepper it was a bit confused I still enjoyed the food immensely and the building

Meal spoiled by a very noisy group in the same part of the pub as us. We made representations to the staff but they were unable or unwilling to talk to them. The food was OK on average and our drinks were good. View menu

a friend recommended us 'the gun', so I made a reservation for Sunday roasting the food was delicious, the staff very friendly and fast, the intention (it is great over the o2). I had the roasted rug of cumbrian bark meat with dee fat bratkartoffel, a true joy. I look forward to the next time in this pub.

I had the roast rump of Cumbrian beef with duck fat roast potatoes, a true delight. I 'm definitely looking forward to the next time at this pub.

I was hosting colleagues from abroad for dinner so wanted somewhere with good British food which would feel special but relatively relaxed. We enjoyed drinks on the terrace and a fantastic meal so all boxes ticked. Only slight downside was that service was a little slow when we were trying to order drinks, but very friendly and ultimately worth the wait. Looking forward to a return visit. View menu
