"We recently went for brunch. It was busy but we had pre-booked. Food was good although service a bit hit miss. The thing that caused me to write this review is due to the following. As we were leaving an elderly lady on her own who was clearly a local judging by the amount of people she spoke to came in and asked for a table. She was asked had she booked and she said no and the female who served her said they had no tables and were fully booked. Immediately behind her, as she left 3 people asked for a table (who I know were not local) and they also clearly stated they had not booked. However as they were a larger quantity of people the same female who served the elderly lady said, not a problem come with me! While I understand places need to make money, to turn the elderly lady away and accept a party of 3 is a disgrace. The elderly lady is local and would spend more in a year in there than the party of 3. You clearly prioritise your profits over locals and also more importantly how to treat people. A message to the female serving, imagine if that was your elderly relative, would you want her treated that way?? Will never set foot in here again and would advise others to avoid it."

we have so much luck in chipping sodbury. next to the beautiful cakes and fresh sandwiches, the caffe area at the back is spacious and comfortable and the eating is absolutely delicious. it is all served by lovely, friendly staff and very cheap trips. great place.

Great family ran café. The staff are friendly and welcoming and will accommodate your needs. The food is beautiful and a decent variety for a café. Can be busy a popular hours if going at this time I recommend calling ahead and reserving a table. They also do take away menu.

We had a pleasant lunch overall, but the service was slow due to insufficient staff for the number of tables. We had to wait a while to place our order. The food was good, but we were disappointed by being asked to vacate our table. Most of the staff were polite and friendly, but there was one lady who was abrupt and rude. View menu

Friendly staff welcoming you... Quality of food is good and very tasty. Service can sometimes be a little slow due to age of some of the servers. The new decor is lovely and really opens up the deli. Used to make homemade hashbrowns with breakfast now it's frozen which is dissapoiting also lack of scrambled eggs some people only eat egg whites If mixed-up. Good selections of mains and light bites and good cakes and drinks selection. Love the roulaid so delicious.

Have had breakfast here multiple times and I highly recommend it for various aspects. The servers are swift and friendly in their service and happy to help. The menu for breakfast is substantial with a variety of vegetarian options and it is all very well priced for the quality on show. The food is lovely, and always well presented and never fails to satisfy. There is ample parking on the surrounding high street so getting here on a busy weekend morning is never an issue. Highly recommend.

hamptons is one of my favourites for eating and I will often have lunch in the hamptons. the owners are beautiful and so are all employees. there is a great selection on the menu my favorites are the hamptons sandwich and the hot club bap. the hamptons is a beautiful little deli, a little more expensive than other caffes in the opposite, but they get what they pay for high-quality delicious meals! sometimes it can be quite busy, so it is best to book to avoid disappointment. The takeaway sandwiches are quick and easy to order and it is not long to wait. on chipping sodbury high street, it is a nice place to eat! View menu

beautiful local caffe with a great atmosphere. there is a good choice on the menu and eating is really delicious. our favorite is the chicken club boap, if they go to lunch, I would recommend this dish and ask for a replacement plate if they like to share how it is a fairly large meal hide! the personal is always friendly, and the owner is super friendly and welcoming. He always talks to you as he reminds you when visiting, which makes a big difference. not the cheapest option on the high road, but it is worth eating, welcoming and the beautiful ambiente. can get something to do on Saturday, so go early. make sure to check this caffe.

First visit for family brunch. Food was delicious and service was good. I was going to give a great review but unfortunately I witnessed something which I found upsetting. As we were leaving, an elderly lady came in on her own. A staff member asked her if she was alone and when she replied yes the staff member told her that there were no available tables and she left. Behind her was a group of three who also hadn’t booked but they were told a table would be found for them. What a rubbish way to treat an elderly lady on her own. Clearly tables were available but she wasn’t going to spend enough for her to get one. I won’t be returning.

"Went for an impromptu meal with her indoors, as this was a local pub we've not been in for a long time we thought will pop in. Greeted by an over enthusiastic bar person who was dragging out the empties from the night before, ordered a couple of drinks and we sat down with the menu's, after perusing the menu we were ready to order, at the same time we were ready a regular couple walked in and sat at there regular table and oredered there regular meal, but the regular gentleman actually wanted an extra sausage with his sausage and chips, well! The kerfuffle this caused was astronomical, this conversation went on for Many many minutes, my wife and I was desperately trying to catch her attention to have another drink, eventually my wife went to the bar and waited, we got served eventually. Then our food came out of the kitchen, we went for the light bites as we were in a snacky mood, Chicken strips Mozzarella bites Chips with curry sauce and nachos. We never got the nachos as there was no guacamole BTW Chips came out which were actually fries, covered in this sauce, gross, then we had 3 chicken strips with no garnish £4.95 £1.63 each Then 4 mozzarella bites came out, no, nothing else just 4 mozzarella bites, £4.95 £1.24 each. So if you want have your pants pulled down and be robbed of your hard earned cash then this is the place to go, as for me and my wife we won't be. We did mention the poor quality and value for money but it was brushed under the dirty carpet and she was going to feed our comments back to the kitchen."

"I was excited to revisit the New Inn after many years, as it used to be a favorite spot of mine. My group of 8 had pre-ordered at the request of the New Inn, but we were told 15 minutes after our booking time that our food was just being prepared. An hour later, our food still hadn't been served. After checking with the staff, the manager assured us that our order was next. Another 10 minutes passed before our food finally arrived. The gammon came with sides that we didn't like and were not mentioned on the menu. The portions were oversized, which was nice, but they were too much and off-putting. The salad trimmings were of poor quality. The fish in batter was enjoyed by those who ordered it. The main meals were okay, but I would have preferred better quality over quantity. We had to chase the staff for a glass of water, and even after being offered dessert menus, no one came to take our order. When we decided to follow up at the bar, the manager seemed more interested in finding out which staff member had failed to take our order than in solving the issue. The service was okay but could have been better, as no one checked on us after our meals were served. It seems like the staff could benefit from more positive training from a supportive mentor. When we asked for the bill, it took a while for it to be brought to us, so we ended up paying on the way out. It's a shame, as I had fond memories of the New Inn, but I am unlikely to return after this experience."
