"first visit in pub. I booked a table on the day before 6:45. we arrived early and it was so busy, which is always a good sign. we were brought to our table and said that they would take our order by 6.45. we had a drink and talked to a lady the next table. she told us the next table was there before she was, and she was served and finished there meal and the table ca. 6 was still waiting. another table was still waiting. After no one took our order, I went to find someone who said there were still commanded waiting. I asked how long the food waiting period she said she would go ask. at the return, I might have been told 30 minutes. buy this time it was 7.15 and we had not yet taken our order. If it were 30 minutes, we would have waited 1 hour. I understand it was busy. but if I take the time to book a table, I expect to order the time for which I have booked. I had only heard good things about the harrow, but very disappointed l left"

Booked a table for Saturday evening, our first visit for a very long time, as under new management. Old style cosy pub with very friendly staff. The food was fantastic, home cooked and plentiful. Will definitely be returning.

we ate here a few times. I would recommend calling in advance as the pub is busy. eating and service is very good, a little wait sometimes because they are busy. it would be great if it were. more vegetarian options than there are currently.

she walked past Sunday and called a drink. looks inward, large garden for the summer. reasonable prices. come back. suggestion for management: the garden could be more friendly for children. maybe they install some swings, a few dias, etc. that would attract more families.

First time for a while in visiting The Harrow. The best Sunday lunch for along while. Good selection on the plate, chose roast beef which was excellent. The gravy was to die for Pleasant staff only to willing to help, arrived just before the rust...at 12 noon. Definitely on the list for a revisit.

We just popped in as they welcomed our little dog into the bar area. They made us feel very welcomed and were so friendly and attentive. We had the lasagna which was absolutely amazing, all homemade and was so flavourful. They allowed me to order...from the childrens menu and again very nice. Great portions, and cheese cake and ice cream come highly recommended. See you again soon.

"After reading the reviews we was really looking forward to eating here ,however it turned out to be the worst tapas and worst service we have ever received . After waiting 10 minutes for someone to take our drinks order we then waited a further 30 mins to be served with what can only be described as toast with tasteless mushed up tomatoes on , this was inedible and hardly touched , a further 20 minutes on and we was served a single dish of chicken between two of us again this was very bland and resembled nothing like a original tapas dish more like a chicken korma again this was hardly touched . When I enquired as to where the rest of the food was I was told they was very busy . With this we decided to cut our loses and asked for the bill . Before leaving we tried to have a conversation with the manager who is also the chef to give some honest feedback ,however he wasn’t open to listening , he’s response was “it’s normal in a tapas restaurant to receive one dish at a time between two with a large gap between dishes wasn’t it explained to you that’s what tapas is “We felt this was a very patronising remark as we eat tapas on a regular basis and know this is definitely not the case . To matters worse there was people who came in after us with multiple plates and tucking in nicely to their meals . The manager who was obviously struggling to cope on a busy Saturday night should have just apologised and admitted our order had been overlooked . If you are looking for authentic Tapas with excellent service in Wigan go to Casa Carlos this place doesn’t deserve your hard earned money ."
