The House - Menu

The food was excellent, especially the massaman curry which was the best I've ever had. The servers were friendly and efficient. It's a kid-friendly restaurant with a good atmosphere.

Excellent tasty food and excellent service at The House. Best Thai food in Norwich. Panang curry is delicious. Of particular note is the steamed Sea Bass in lemon, lime and chilli. Highly recommended will definitely visit again.

Food was nice but be aware of high prices. £4.50 for a half of draught lager. Asked for soya sauce. A spoonful arrived in small dish that was charged at 99p on the bill. Starters were small and not really worth bothering with. However main courses and service very nice.

This is the best Thai we visited in a long time. We have eaten here on two occasions recently. Both time it has been exceptional. The food is fresh, meat is succulent and well cooked. Flavour is balanced and each dish has seemed really authentic. The staff are kind, friendly and welcoming. We really can’t fault it and will definitely be returning.

During our stay at the nearby Travelodge Central, we decided to check out The House, as we both enjoy Thai cuisine. And we are so glad we did! After reading a review online, we decided to try their prawn red curry, which featured truly enormous prawns and a delicious sauce. We also ordered a chicken pad Thai and enjoyed it with a delightful bottle of rose. Our evening was made even more enjoyable thanks to the lovely, friendly service. We highly recommend this restaurant.

We visited here as an anniversary treat. The staff are all lovely and very attentive, with great knowledge as to what is gluten free and what is not, being coeliac can cause issues but I had no issues whatsoever. The food is absolutely amazing. Hot, plentiful and very well presented. The restaurant is spotlessly clean with a lovely atmosphere to it. This is the second time we have eaten here as we are not from the area. We will definitely go back next time we are visiting the city.

There is Thai food and authentic Thai food, the food here was amazing, the service too was good considering how busy they were. Initially the waitress said the service would be delayed slightly due the influx of people who had come in at the same time, but that was not the case. Of note was the amount of Thai people in here, in my opinion says a great deal about the the authenticity. In the city centre near the Bus station and a few steps away from a well stocked Asian supermarket.Highly recommended.

The service at this restaurant was very unpleasant and dishonest. I was given two different menus and ordered from the lunch menu, but when the bill arrived it was for a higher price because I was told I had ordered from the dinner menu. I explained that I had not been informed of this and asked for the bill to be amended. The owner became rude and disrespectful, saying I should be grateful for the larger portion instead of admitting their mistake. Despite the good food, the level of disrespect and dishonesty ruined the dining experience.

Called in last night for a meal . All the staff were very friendly and welcoming and all seem to be very cheerful . Myself and my wife opted for a chicken satay and spring rolls starters . You get 4 of each and we’re very nice . For main I had the chicken Penang and my wife had the chicken in chilli oil . Both good portions and taste absolute beautiful . Both dishes were so flavoursome . Our sides were egg rice noodles and egg rice ., again good size portions . All washed down with 2 pints of singha and coke for my wife .
