"Sunday lunch time visit. Warm welcome given with a choice of seating which is always nice. A beautiful room which feels like a treat. Our favourite sourdough bread to start us off, warm out of the oven with a crusty salted top delicious. Husband enjoyed his usual Shepherds Pie, but they had ran out of broccoli by 12:30 a.m! so not perfect. I had the mushroom linguine special. Which was definately not special or as advertised. Creamy sauce was non existent neither was the shaved cheese, flavour of truffle or gold flakes. Just a small portion of mushroomy pasta. Definately not worth £17 and my teenage son could have made much better. A big drop in their usual standard. And a much too long wait for the card machine to pay at the end (20 minutes) May have to look at an alternative place on next visit."

We had a wonderful experience celebrating our wedding anniversary at this restaurant. The staff were friendly and easy to approach.

Although expensive the food was amazing. £10 for a glass of champagne is slightly ridiculous so only had the one. I had to ask for my tea as they forgot to ask me which tea I'd like.

Tasty food, beautifully presented. Portions good, not huge. Depending on where you sit, can feel a little crowded, they really have packed in a lot of tables. Preferred it when the toilets were upstairs, now downstairs and you have to wind your way through a lot of diners to get there. Service excellent, as ever. Staff very well trained. View menu

My experience was average. I felt like the staff were lacking something and I have received better treatment at other Ivy restaurants. I felt rushed and the waiters could have been more attentive. However, the food was excellent - hot, tasty, and well presented. My cocktail was extremely delicious. Overall, my feelings towards this restaurant are mixed.

Two options on the menu were unavailable and the service for both food and drinks was subpar. We were kept waiting for a long time. The quality of the food was below the usual standard that we are accustomed to when dining at this restaurant. Despite being seated in a visible area and not tucked away in a corner, we felt neglected for most of our time there.

Very disappointed when we arrived to find the normal weekday menus were not available the set menu, normally £18.95 for 2courses was now a ‘festive menu’ costing £50 for 2 courses! Although it did include a Christmas cracker It was November 14th!!! No wonder the restaurant was almost empty. Having said that the food was lovely but just far too early for Christmas. View menu

Our order of 2 pancake dishes was clearly forgotten as customers that ordered more complex dishes after arriving 10-15 minutes after us were served their meals before us. In total we waited 30 minutes for 2 Pancake and fruit dishes. We were also served some water as well as our hot drinks which is standard catering practice. I was upset when we were charged for the water at the end which we didn’t ask for.

We've been many times to The Ivy, Victoria Quarter, and this was the first time we thought it was pretty poor as an experience, both food and atmosphere and service, and very poor value. We all enjoyed our starters however the main courses were underwhelming and the the cost for 3 of us with just starters, mains, 2 bottles of water and a couple of drinks each was, frankly, exorbitant. We could have gone to our local pub, had a better meal, in more comfortable surroundings and better service and for nearly half the price.
