The Kings Arms - Menu

I stopped by for a couple of drinks during my trip to Abbotsbury. I would rate the service a 4 out of 5 and the location also a 4 out of 5.

The food and service were exceptional. I can't wait to share this hidden gem with my family and friends. We will definitely return. Let's support our local pub! Service: 5 Location: 5

Only had a pint was going to eat but nothing took our fancy. My husband wasn't impressed when barman served a local before him, a good barman should know who's next to be served especially when the pub was quiet. Nice pub lots of outdoor seating, dog friendly. Service: 4 Location: 4 View menu

Rubbish, nothing left on menu, everything we tried to order was unavailable. When we finally did order monkfish curry it was bland and I think the monkfish had yet to be caught because it certainly wasn't on my plate. The service was dire and the waitress had no customer service skills. Will definitely no be going back avoid at all costs. Overpriced and definitely under seasoned Service: 1

Food drinks: Lots of items on menu unavailable. Overpriced for what it is. Burgers were dry and tasteless, buns were stale, chip portion small. Beer was average. Ambiance non existent. Staff seemed flustered despite it not being busy. Avoid, such a shame Can only assume they don't really care about getting repeat visits and rely on passing trade. A lovely venue in a quiet village. We came twice whilst we stayed in Potersham farm camping (caravans and motorhomes as well) The first night we think the chef was off as the burger was cooked far too long. The rest of the meal was great, they replaced our burgers with a whole new meal but although better not great. However the following evening we had steak and that was delicious so all good in the end. Well worth a visit. Service: 4

Have to agree with lady who posted an hour ago . Beautiful setting and I really don’t mind paying the price if the food delivered is worth it but sadly it wasn’t . Burger was so well good it was dry and chewy burger bun dry fish over cooked • No table service tonight but 3 staff visible and the pub was pretty empty . Really looking forward to eating here as such a good location next to the campsite . Cant seem to post again but felt I needed too ! Just had the Sunday roast !! Fantastic !! Probably the best I’ve had eating out !! I did tell the staff this evening . Thankyou

The menu was concise, which I appreciated, but it offered a tempting selection. We chose to share a couple of boards and were thrilled with our meals—they were presented beautifully and were exceptionally tasty. The drink selection was impressive too, with a custom menu of premium gins and rums that we really enjoyed. The only small downside was that we felt a bit overlooked. As the only customers seated indoors (thanks to the lovely weather), it should have been table service, but we often had to go to the bar to get the attention we needed during our meal. I’d recommend dropping the table service during quieter days! Overall, I would definitely return if we're nearby. View menu
