"we came to dinner on 6/1/23 eating was a good quality, drinks were good and we were allowed to taste wine before we walk a bottle. cocktails were also great. both had the ripped eyes, cooked as we wanted and were happy to eat. came here for a jubilee and were pleasantly surprised with a small cake and "happy anniversary" written in chocolate on the plate. the service was punctual and every waiting period was completely fair. all staff were polite and friendly. would like to mention a special mention to times that was very friendly and took the time to chat with us a bit during our dinner. he recognized his time when it was calm and had a nice chat with him. overall a great experience highly recommended."

Eating was just not very good. ambience ok (from the lobby of a hotel,) service in order. price not crazy, but not justified by the quality of food. View menu

We ordered the chicken and mushroom pie which the menu stated came with pea purée. The pea was missing and the pie came with no other accompaniment. The pie was £17.50 which is overpriced for what it was (a bowl of filling with a piece of puff pastry floating on top).

Devoid of customers and atmosphere. We asked if the inconsequential football match could be turned off but despite being two of three customers they merely lowered the volume a little. We had to endure Loose Women on a giant screen first. Not a place for a business lunch.

The food quality and style was equal to not-so-great pub food. We were very early diners which meant there was no one there, with only a gigantic screen showing football (world cup) to keep us company. This only reinforced the pub impression, in which case, I'd expect the bill to be half the size. View menu

This restaurant was great. Marisa kindly reserved the quiet table that I wanted for a Covid-nervous friend and the waiter was amazing, truly thinking of everything we needed and making our visit relaxing and enjoyable. The terrine is delicious but the monkfish dish was rather small, although extremely tasty. We had to order vegetables to go with it but of course they arrived after we had nearly finished the monkfish. Overall, a great dining experience that I shall be repeating.

The only reason I would recommend the Lampery is for convenience and location, especially if you are staying near by. However, for a restaurant that opens at 6am for brekafast, to be out of Avocado and Eggs by 8:15am on a Friday morning is a extremely poor. All dishes should also come with at least one accompaniment, for example my omelette was just that for £9.50 which is extortionate. Coffee was very good however. Servers should wait to take plates once all parties at the table are finished with their food and definitely not before the plate is largely empty. My colleague had to pointedly note to the server that she wasn't finished with her plate as we were speaking and slowly enjoying our...
