Excellent location and friendly staff. Vegetarian options available. Some of the deserts were just fine, but most were good. Would recommend friends and family.

Loved our visit for an afternoon tea! The staff was very nice, we had a window seat overlooking the lake and very delicious food. Refined and comfortable place to spend the afternoon

What a wonderful festive after tea , perfect food and such a lovely place , will be back in the warmer weather to enjoy the view , which was lovely today but will be much better in the summer View menu

Really enjoyed the food. The restaurant is a very pleasant environment with magnificent views over the gardens. The staff was very friendly and helpful, but the service was sometimes a little slow.

The sandwiches were a little dry and very little imagination for a gluten free sandwich. Cakes and scone were ok. Staff bought the tea out without any spoons or sugar and the second pot of tea was a Earl Grey not EBT as requested. Also what really annoyed us was tea bags no leaf tea. This is the only one in four venues in the last few years it’s been bags

We wanted an afternoon tea and booked for that via the website for 5.30 the only time we could get other than 2.30. When we arrived we were td afternoon tea had finihed. We had a meal instead which was good enough nut not what we wanted and had booked for. I think there is an issue with booking afternoon tea via the website and Fork. Staff were sympathetic and helpful but the experience was a let down as a birthday treat.

A hidden gem I guess you'd say, nestled inside the boundaries of a plush retirement village The Lytton was very well presented with an excellent roast dinner. The staff were warm, welcoming and attentive. Although the clientele is predominantly of the retirement age, the atmosphere and surrounding were lovely. It was also quite nice being the youngest person there. I think we'll definitely be visiting again. Worth a visit!

However, when we arrived, we were informed that afternoon tea was no longer being served. Instead, we ended up having a meal that was decent, but it wasn't what we had wanted or booked for. I believe there may be an issue with the reservation system on the website and with Fork.
