"Well what can I say, what a fantastic meal we’ve had tonight at The Mex in Saint Ives. I can honestly say this is the best Mexican I’ve ever had and quite possibly the best meal I’ve had in Saint Ives! The food was absolutely beautiful and very flavoursome. Me and my party shared the nachos to start and we all agreed that they were the best nachos ever. They were covered in cheese and chilli and were so tasty! For mains we had burritos and fajitas and again they may have been the best we ever had! The service was top standard from the 2 ladies who served us, they very welcoming, attentive, friendly and professional. Infact we enjoyed our meal so much we’ve booked again for tomorrow night! If you’re reading reviews to see if you should visit or not, then take it from to get yourselves down there!"

good Mexican cuisine is hard to find in Britain, but the mex certainly meets the point. my partner and I enjoyed delicious starter dishes and dishes, but ran out of the room for dessert.

One of the best Mexican restaurants I have had in the UK. Price is reasonable, but the portions are both filling and tasty. A hidden gem is St Ives. Loved the caramelized sweet potatoes.

Amazing service and even better food. We didn’t book but we’re fitted in and the food was fresh and fast. The steak fajitas is definitely a special dish. The churros were a beautiful finish to a perfect meal. Love the range of Mexican drinks on other and the tequila options are vast.

had a nice eating with our 3 children, went in early 5.30 and table booked again at 7 o'clock. waitress was fab, attentive to children, burritos were first class. a brilliant authentic experience! small restaurant supplements the intimacy of everything, a little of mexiko directly in stives.

absolutely delicious! if you know how Mexican taste is, then they are safe here. I would simply pull out the granatapfel seeds to be 100% more mexican, but I feel that there were the colors for the dish. the personal is friendly and beautiful we had taken away and the packaging was great! we will be coming back

As a fan of his previous fish restaurant, I was excited to see that Chef Ovi and his wonderful wife had taken over a local takeaway... Needless to say, though the premises has downsized, the quality has not. Amazingly fresh Cod, perfectly cooked chips, moreish homemade tartare sauce, and service with a smile from the great Front-of-House team! I will certainly be telling people about this new venture and I can't wait to return. Steve

My husband and I came across this little gem when walking from the car park to the harbour. We ordered cod each and one portion of chips. Very friendly staff serving and gave us a pot of homemade tartar sauce on the house We found a bench near the harbour and tucked in absolutely yummy and the best battered cod we have had for a long time, generous portion of chips and plenty for two. Really enjoyed the tartar sauce.What a great find and no hesitation recommending this take out
