"I never usually leave reviews, but I feel particularly motivated after my experience at villa marina. My girlfriend ordered the chicken and chorizo paella and I ordered pizza. Unfortunately the chicken in the paella wasn’t right, it was crunchy chewy and rubbery. It was inedible. I told the waitress that it wasn’t right and asked if it had been cooked properly, I was told that that is how the chicken is, if it wasn’t cooked it would be pink and I should Google it. She did offer to give us another paella meal, but she said it would be the same as that is what the chicken is like. She was very defensive and unapologetic which lead us to leave it and just not eat the chicken as we did not want to get ill. They did knock £6 off the £16 charge for the paella, however I feel this is not good enough and felt compelled to write a review due to the way that the situation was handled as it made the atmosphere very awkward and ruined our meal. The pizza and wine was nice though."

"My family and I enjoyed our first meal at The Caernarfon Tandoori Restaurant after reading an article in the Daily Post that said that this restaurant had been named Indian Restaurant of the Year for Wales. The food was delicious with really amazing flavours, fresh ingredients and spices and a taste sensation that is absolutely perfect. The food is full of epic flavours, absolute perfection. The staff are welcoming, efficient, friendly and professional. My family and I all really appreciate the fantastic service that The Caernarfon Tandoori Restaurant provide, it was a pleasure to dine at such a fantastic restaurant that has a wonderful menu with an excellent selection of food to choose from. We really liked the cool, stylish interior in the restaurant that was beautifully designed and very comfortable. Thank you to all the team at Caernarfon Tandoori Restaurant for your super service and amazing food, we highly recommended your fantastic restaurant!"

"We did a visit to this restaurant on Saturday night I’m so sorry but the restaurant is over rated first of my family had their starter but I sat and waited for mine only ordered garlic bread so I had to ask when it came the waitress said if you want to send it back he will do you another mmm why her reply was he’s not happy about it then I found out it was just doo but didn’t say anything because the family had eaten there’s, The main meal 4 of us ordered Steak All not what we asked for all over cooked ,the chips I couldn’t eat because they some sort of herb on .The staff didn’t look happy in there job .£260 I think it was over priced and definitely won’t be going again"

"We were staying in Caernarfon on a Saturday night and took valuable advice from other reviewers and booked early. We were so looking forward to choosing a selection of meze to share, but were disappointed to see only a set meat or vegetarian meze or...special starters and main courses were on offer. We chose one meat and one vegetarian meze. Both first plates were super...a good mixture of Greek fare with warm pitta bread. The second plates were more than disappointing....too much meat, Mediterranean greasy vegetables and potatoes. The Spanakopita was a greasy tasteless pancake and the rest of the vegetarian meze was similarly unexciting. The server did say they were offering a new menu that night. It is probably easier for the kitchen, but we were less than impressed. The house wine did go down well though!"

"Booked afternoon tea here for a family of seven, based on reviews which raved about the warm welcome, possible tour of the house etc. I was looking forward to learning a little of the history as well as having a tasty afternoon tea. The welcome...was far from warm. We arrived just as a harried young man dashed past us without acknowledgement on the phone. We then waited at least minutes, somewhat awkwardly in the empty hallway until he finished his phone call. He then said ‘Afternoon tea?’ to which we nodded and he escorted us straight to the dining room without another word. So much for the warm welcome. We were then quickly served with teapots and stands of afternoon tea. Food was ok, some high points and some low. A member of staff asked us if we were ok about minutes in, which we were. However, I had read in previous reviews that extra tea and sandwiches could be ordered, but we never had the chance as no-one returned for the rest of our meal. There was no way to attract attention, we may as well have been alone in the house. Having pre-paid for our meal, we then left, having looked around for someone to say goodbye to. Not a soul on site. It really was the most dreadful service. Extremely transactional. A bit like Mac Donalds, really. I’m sure the owner manager would be appalled to hear how badly we were treated at what purports to be a five star establishment. We won’t be returning."
