"Urgh, it’s a shame. You know when you go out and you think to yourself “I could have eaten way better food at home for a fraction of the price”? Then add in the total lack of any willing service and realise that’s why you never come to places like this. Food Ok, we were the first table of the day so the kitchen took a while to ‘get going’, but undercooked chips (yes edible but you know that firm ‘starchy’ texture when chips haven’t been cooked properly? That. All four plates of chips had that texture). We all had burgers and they were absolutely fine. Nothing really wrong there. Anyway, I’m all for supporting local business and we’d waited a while so didn’t want to send it all back..yep, very British of us. Service What? None really. The lady who greeted us gave off that air of not really giving a sh*t. She took our order, poured our drinks and brought our food. Offered us any sauces? Nope. Check that we liked our meal? Nope. Show any personality whatsoever? Nope…unless her personality is always ‘cold shoulder’ and ‘teen attitude’ (she was not a teen). There’s lots of good reviews of this place so I’ll have to assume she was having a bad day and the kitchen perhaps hadn’t warmed up yet. But it was such a ‘meh’ and disappointing way to spend our lunch time I don’t think we’ll bother returning. Sorry Pandy Inn..:we wanted to like it."

Organised a small get together for my daughters 18th birthday, staff were so helpful, set everything up, put out our buffet, really welcoming, polite and Kim was fantastic couldn’t do enough for you. Would highly recommend View menu

Great little pub we stopped at for lunch after a long walk, very friendly staff, great service, staff bought water and snacks for the dog, and they had good gluten free options! We had the roast which was delicious, standout was the Stilton cauliflower cheese

A decent pub with nice interior, tried food and first time was nice, sadly second time loaded fries (stilton and mushrooms) were disappointing, extremely greasy but, to be fair was hot and freshly cooked and then to add insult to injury waitress said sorry we have ran out of napkins, not the best of adverts, bar staff are nice and chatty, overall okay but needs to up it's game a bit to get better reviews.

A pretty pub from the outside, even more lovely and homely on the inside. We were warmly welcomed and the lady who served us, Kim, was so lovely to us. The chef was 24 year old Cariad, who is astonishing. I had a beautiful salmon in chilli and lemon sauce with mash, whilst my friend had the beef curry, both utterly delicious. What a gem of a place. Highly recommend this place on the border of Wales and England. 11 out of 10, will definitely be going back!! View menu

First return after 6 years and a previous disappointment/boycott. New management from Nov 2023 and wow, what a difference. From the point of booking to the end of our visit the service was excellent , efficient and friendly. Good range of pub food with an unusual range of burgers and loaded fries. Our meals were delicious and healthy portions. In fact, all of the food served looked good. Prices were very reasonable too. The restaurant area has been tidied up and made cosy with nice furnishings. The wooden floor is great as they allow dogs so easy for cleaning. So nice to see owners making an effort and this place offers plenty of theme nights and weekly entertainment. What's not to like! Loo...

Having read previous reviews I can only think that there are talking about a different Old Pandy Inn . We visited when it had just been taken over and it was great. But on our return what a disappointment! The girl behind the bar was only interested in the four guys sat at the bar. No personality what so ever. We sat outside as it was nice weather lots of road noise that can’t be helped. But the bin was over flowing and stunk, dirty ashtrays and benches although looked new covered in birds s++t the outside around the back was disgraceful so went back inside. Beautifully decorated by the way. What a shame, they really are missing a trick with a caravan site a stone’s throw away and the place...
