"Extensive menu Not inexpensive. Four of us, shared the antipasto Misto starter at £17. Which was good.. When one of us could not take the cheese pizza flatbread, they offered a garlic as an alternative and subsequently added £8 to the bill! Their special was a venison pie with a rich jus. Just as well as it proved impossible to cut, or break the crust, even after soaking with the jus. The venison was stringy and a great disappointment. Similarly , the pork belly was overcooked with the meat nearly as hard as the crackling. Coffee afterwards served in minuscule cups. Total cost for a shared starter, main course , coffee and four beers was £145."

We feel very fortunate to have this pub as our neighborhood spot! The food is excellent, the beer selection is top-notch, and the service is delightful. Thank you. View menu

No more than ok. Not terrible but not somewhere I would rush back to. I think there’s other places offering better food at the same price. Overpriced for what it offers. Service wasn’t great, slightly terse.

Great food, friendly service, plenty of parking available, good atmosphere. The food selection is a good variety, and they do add and remove items every now and then. It can be a little bit pricey, but I'd consider it decent value for the area. The only slight negative point would be that the food can sometimes take a little while but it's worth it.

The Oxford Arms delivers everything that I look for in a pub, the food is excellent, the service is speedy and professional and the friendly atmosphere is exactly what I look for after a long week at work, it is a positive place that makes you relax and feel so welcome, it is also dog friendly so you can bring the whole family out for the evening. I cannot reccomend this place enough, fantastic in every way. View menu

Kirtlington, other review 'Proper Cotswold Pub atmosphere ' it is a friendly pub, but just to be clear, Kirtlington is not in the Cotswolds, thank goodness for that, otherwise, the house prices would be even higher. Soon to be opened (Dec 2023) under new management, The Dashwood, will give healthy competition in the village. Room for both, lucky Kirtlington. Just adding a fact, not commenting on quality of food etc Stars not appropriate this time.

I used to frequent this restaurant often when the previous management was in charge. After being away for some time, I returned to find that the place still looked tired and outdated. Unfortunately, my recent visit was not enjoyable in any aspect. The staff was friendly, but that did not make up for the poor service, food quality, and pricing. The only positive aspect was the ample parking available. Overall, I believe there are better establishments out there that strive for higher standards. I will not be returning.

"I don't know what on earth happened last night when we had dinner here, the reviews looked good, and we're struggling to understand how. We're very easily pleased and takes a lot to prompt a complaint, but we had an absolutely awful experience. My partner ordered the belly pork off the specials board, and it turned up on a side plate, a very few overcooked bits of diced pork thrown in with a few veg. I had the cauliflower with braised lentils, this turned out to be a few mainly burnt cauliflower florets thrown into a plate of sludgy lentils. The chunky chips we ordered came out as skinny fries, not a big deal but just added to the general lack of care. We were both mortified, to the point of embarrassment. We ate it as we were hungry and there was nowhere else to go as we were staying at a local campsite. One of the team took the plates away, and another brought the bill. Neither of them asked us how the meal was, else we'd have said how disappointed we were. So we just left, just as the table next to ours was commenting on the small portion sizes of their food. We should have complained but we were hungry, disappointed, tired and just wanted to leave and simply couldn't face the confrontation in the busy setting. No excuses but that's how it was. We are very relaxed easy going people but this was a truly disappointing meal and experience and we felt robbed of £45 instead of enjoying what we'd hoped would be a lovely Saturday night out and special occasion."
