"This pub/restaurant has a big outside green space along the river Cam. It was more than half empty when we went for lunch. We booked but no one told us that we were to be put inside, we wanted to sit outside. When we asked the guys behind the bar (manager?) if we could sit not where he wanted to put us, he said that all outside tables were booked. He was also very grudging about even changing the table he had allotted us to inside (we wanted covid distancing). When we left over an hour later, there were still many unused tables both inside and outside. The waitress tried to say that it was all booked up because of 'the Bumps' University races. So the customers' wishes were totally ignored and we still can't understand why we were not allowed to sit outside by the dictator behind the bar. Surely the customer always comes first."

Such a lovely place for a summer's evening meal with friends. Our waiter Steffan couldn't have been more helpful with my medically restricted diet and and the ambiance, food and service were all exemplary! We shall return. :)

a pleasant restaurant at the river bank that tries to make a good job. beautiful ambiente, hard working personal, child menu and fair variety. food quality so so, but portions are gigantic. they suspect that the kitchen is served as a sully, tasted as if they had spent some time on the hotplate. beautiful environment and lots of space makes the overall experience. all in all, they could do much worse for a traditional Sunday dinner in cambridge.

I came to The Plough for lunch with a friend having booked in advance online. It was every bit as good as we had anticipated from our friendly, informative waitress to our aesthetically arranged and delicious tasting food. A warm, convivial mood abounded as we sat chatting on the decking awaiting the arrival of our lunch. The menu was varied and enticing and I could have easily succumbed to many dishes. There was no hurry to move us on as lunch came and went making the whole experience utterly pleasurable. I would certainly recommend The Plough and will be referring

A very frosty welcome from the young man who checked us in...a smile would have been nice.Love the decor of the restaurant...very tasteful and comfortable. We had a lovely table. Our waitress was totally fabulous...so efficient and really attentive. She is a great asset to The Plough. My food was terrible! I ordered rotisserie chicken. It was dry and almost inedible. It was supposed to be flavoured with truffle. It had no flavour whatsoever and was served with a very salty gravy. My husband's meal was much better! The holumi fries were excellent. To sum up... very ordinary pub grub at restaurant prices.

this place has a beautiful location at the river. very expensive. I had the king garnel for a starter, just a few gumy garnels in an alleged tomato sauce with chili tasted like garne in a bottle tomato. my man had the brote with dip and olive, nice brot, but very expensive, very average. we both had the rib-eye steak, both had to be returned, mine was so tough and my men, dripping in blood and tasteless. both ordered to cook medium. both meal times were replaced, my steak much more beautiful, but the tomato and mushrooms were cold? not warm) my man decided to replace his steak with the gay that was quite beautiful. very disappointing overall. we will not return.
