"Stopped in for a quick drink with my one year old puppy (good as gold, on lead . Gate to garden at back was stuck so walked in through main entrance. Immediately barked at (pun intended by barmaid that I shouldn’t walk in through restaurant area and should walk all way round to gate at back. Muttered something to her colleague about having a dog in a restaurant which I didn’t quite hear. (Many restaurants allow dogs so don’t see what her issue was especially since there were only about 5 people actually in restaurant. . She then served me at main bar and abruptly warned me dog was only allowed in bar till 5pm (it was 4.15pm . I’ve been in that pub on a few occasions later than that, and there have been dogs in there. I’d already decided by that point I wasn’t staying anyway. Unfriendly, unwelcoming and unnecessarily passive aggressive from the lady serving. Beer garden is also in need of some TLC bit of a depressing dump. Whole place needs a renovation desperately.. Shame there’s nowhere else in area otherwise I’m sure most locals would go there instead."

Nice meal, haggis pakora was fantastic. We were a large group so had to get our own drinks which wasn't a big deal. Would visit again.

Excellent food in a spotlessly clean restaurant. It's tucked away in a housing estate, but it's well worth eating there if you're in the area. The menu prices were too reasonable given the quality of the food.

Casual dining. Good for an easy evening meal. Can make reservation via Google, which is helpful. Decent quality of food, reasonable pricing, quick and friendly staff and service. Overall, good value for money.

we accidentally gaggled places to eat near where we stayed and found this beautiful hidden gem five minutes away, after the place we had actually booked, had almost everything out of stock and nothing to my partners taste. eating nice, much choice! If we ever come back to these wise, we will be back!

Took our 2 granddaughters here while spending a couple of nights in the area. Picked it because of the good reviews and weren’t disappointed. Hidden away in a housing estate but worth looking for. The children can be fussy eaters but found something they both enjoyed. One even tried my spaghetti bolognaise and gave it the thumbs up. So much so she is now enjoying my homemade bolognaise. The staff were friendly and attentive and it made such a difference from those chains of “family” restaurants with bland food. We will definitely revisit next time we are in the area.

"Horrendous attitude from one of the owners/family helpers called Lee. I would like to highlight that Sonia provided a professional customer service experience in comparison to Lee. Placed the order at arrived at When I called at to find out...what was happening, Sonia offered to phone the driver to find out the situation for me, which was good. Whilst waiting on Sonia phoning me back, I received a call from Lee asking me to tell her what the problem was, I explained her colleague was dealing with it she then went on to explain how busy they are, which is understandable and I understand the challenges businesses have at the moment, owning my own. But there was no apology. In fact Lee (who at this point I did not know was the owner/family helper until Sonia told me) went on to tell me it was my fault I ordered from Just eat as they had their own orders to fill first?? Eh hello? It doesn't matter how I place my order, I chose your business to order my dinner from!. Anyway I explained to her that I didn't like her tone of voice and felt she was being really aggressive with me. She asked me if I wanted to cancel my order,I said we have been waiting two hours, so we may as well wait, however she was very forceful and kept saying no I will cancel, I will cancel and then decided to put the phone down on me. I couldn't believe how I had been treated as a customer! Then Sonia kindly phoned back to apologise and I asked whoever that was, should not be in a customer role and I was shocked to be spoken to in that way. She then went on to inform me Lee is the owner/family helper! Shocking. Sonia asked for my details and explained she would let the other owner know what had happened. hours later, I've not heard a peep from the restaurant. So I've made the decision to leave a review after explaining to them, this is what I would do. After waiting over and a half hours and using them for the first time, the food was below average. The pakoras and rice was nice, however the chicken korma was inedible, it was stringy and chewy, the lamb bhuna sauce was nice, the lamb was fatty and chewy. So all that wait for pakora and rice and sauce. We won't be back! Horrendous way to speak and treat customers!"
