We visited the star for the first time sunday, from the get go and throughout the staff were friendly and welcoming we really felt truly looked after the chef came out to talk to us about what products they use, At times you can feel like a real inconvenience to restaurants if you have certain dietary requirements, the people here couldn’t of been more lovely.

Really, great food and attentive staff. Reasonably priced for the area. Very nice litte pub, will be going again whenever we are back up this way. *Correction* i mistook the VAT 20% as service charge that was automatically added to the bill. Now I feel bad that i didnt tip for such good service! Will have to make recompense on our next visit! Hotel highlights: Quiet

Had Sunday lunch here March 2022. The staff very kindly slotted us in early as we had no booking. The dog was also invited in. We opted for the Sunday Roast which was a very large helping. It was unusual in that it was served with red cabbage. The service and staff were attentive and excellent. The guest real ale was very good £3.95). Only reason not a 5 star is that the postcode NR12 0DJ confused my natnav and I spent 20 minutes looking for the pub. The correct postcode is NR12 0DN .. I would hope, an easy fix

simply said if they are close to or in the surrounding areas of the star there are no brains and one has to visit. not to deny a culinary joy in a friendly (dog friendly relaxed environment). from start to finish, we were not disappointed. not only was eating amazing, but what is added to the entire experience that the personal warm, welcoming and friendly. really real beautiful people who obviously enjoy what they do as cooked in the quality of food and the service provided. Whenever we return, the star will be the top of our lists.
