"I stopped here on a cycle ride around the island, in fact I made a slight detour from my planned route and it was most definitely worth it. The vegan nut roast was excellent with a nice range of veg and a jug of gravy. There are also other vegan options too. The staff were friendly and attentive (very helpful with directions) and the atmosphere was pleasant happy but not rowdy. There's also a garden. This really is a great find on the Island, I wholeheartedly recommend a visit. (I would give it 5 stars for their contribution to veganism but I'm not allowed because it isn't full veg)."

This restaurant is fantastic with amazing staff. I highly recommend trying the lamb roast if you haven't already. They were able to accommodate my dietary restrictions by offering gluten and dairy-free options. The average price per person is £10-£20. I would rate the food and service a 5 out of 5.

Stopped here for lunch in mid June 2017. Place was busy but staff friendly and keen to help. Our party enjoyed a vegetable pie and nut roast with loads of potatoes, veggies and gravy. Strawberries and ice cream for dessert. Staff able to tell me which drinks were suitable for vegan. If I lived closer I would visit regularly.

because this place is close to our holiday accommodation and there is no pure vegan restaurant on the island, we decided to taste this restaurant. all vegetarian dishes can be served vegan. the staff was very helpful and friendly and the food was very delicious. we had the sweet chili and the nut roasts. loved the model railway through the gas house.

there was a decent amount of choice, including more unusual items such as vegan yorkshire puddings; but the kitchen had from many menu items as it was a bank holiday. the personal was friendly and tried to adapt the food they had, where possible. we had vegan sausage and maic, which came with a selection of two species. it was simple, but the engraving was beautiful.

The Sun Inn is possibly the friendliest pub I have stepped foot in. The staff are always very friendly and happy to accomodate for vegan options/allergens. So far I have tried the vegan korma and nut roast, both of which have been delicious each time I have eaten there. They offer a range of vegetarian options also. I am yet to try a vegan dessert there! Overall, it's always a wonderful, homely dining experience there.

decent, but not exceptional. it was a more practical place to stop after visiting the dinosaur museum! friendly staff, many vegan options, good prices we both ordered the mushroom cake with chips exalted for just £5 per! the veg was a bit overcooked and while I usually love mushroom cake, I only ate half of my cake. it had a strange taste that didn't agree to me. my other half enjoyed him. I hear the cauliflower bites are good!

the personal in this pub could no longer have been helpful and helpful. they talked to us through the vegan options and sorted meals to suit all family. I had a roast with vegan yorkies! which was decent, cooked to house, filling and very favorable. the chips were also fab and vegan options were cooked in a separate frittier. the chili lacked a little taste. they also offer gluten-free options, doggy meals and cover etc. I was really impressed by their willingness, including all members of the family and nutrition requirements.

"Heading out to the Theatre, thought we would re-visit one of our favourite eateries first, and yet again the experience was lovely throughout. Have to say, booking is essential, as they fill tables easily. With the picturesque landscape from the dining area it 's no wonder. We 'd never been seated in the window tables before, so this just added to the experience, and watching the weather pass along the Solent was wonderful. The Blacksmiths have a specials board and however inviting the options looked, I was rather famished, so the mixed grill was my only real option. (sure the 16oz T Bone would 've filled the hole, but fancied variety The missus choosing the smaller option of the Pork Belly, leaving room for dessert. It was beautiful, cooked to perfection, medium rare my preference and accompanied by a pint of Inch 's Cider, our server, friendly, approachable and nothing was too much trouble. The Pork Belly, I 'm informed melted in the mouth and was also delicious with creamed mash and veg. Dessert, I 'm usually a starter main man, but seeing a White Chocolate and Raspberry Creme Brulee ' held me to indulge my sweet side. My Gem opting for the highly anticipated Strawberry Pavlova with Chantilly Cream. Both desserts were presented beautifully and were delicious, leaving both of us full and totally satisfied. We cannot rate The Blacksmiths high enough on our 'I.O.W must eat at ' list as their team are amazing, food is lovely and the locale is beautiful. You simply must try here."
