"Where to start… we were a party of 8, 6 adults and 2 toddlers and was only in the area for an event which was about 10 minutes away so thought it would be an ideal location. We had a table booked for 4.30 and arrived at approx 4.15, we were seated almost immediately, that’s where it went downhill. The table was dirty and we cleaned this with anti bac wipes that are carried for the babies. After waiting for about 50 minutes being totally ignored, we went to seek staff to place our order. We were given dirty dishes for the salad bar, the cutlery provided in the containers had food stuck to it, not just one item but at least three of the forks, we again had to seek staff out to get all of this sorted. Our food did not start arriving until 17.40, so this is now and hour and 10 minutes, to get food that in itself was quite simple, nothing extraordinary. The toddlers plates were so hot they would have been scalded if they had touched them. Two of our party ordered chicken, this was undercooked and not edible as it was pink inside. They cannot even say they were under pressure as there was only about 3 other couples in there. Due to the event we were attending, we had no time to see the manager as they were apparently busy, we just had to pay the bill and leave, what a complete waste to £160. DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY, AVOID."

I had a wonderful experience at this restaurant while going out for some Christmas drinks. The bartender, Megan, was fantastic and really made the evening special.

We had a delicious breakfast and fantastic service at this restaurant. Mitchell, the assistant manager, went out of his way to help us and was charming. We will definitely return.

Disgraceful. Brunch with Santa. No heating and no pancakes for 6 kids that’s half the kids menu not available and they only told us that half hour after ordering. No drinks had turned up either. It wasn’t even busy. Now I know why! We left.

Popped into The Talbot Harvester in North Weald for a late lunch was greeted and served by Kerry who was an absolute delight the service we received was outstanding and she is a credit to her Management also want to shout out to the chefs Ryan and Stephen the food they prepared was the best we have ever had there and we thoroughly enjoyed it from the Festive set menu...thanks again we will be back.

I was extremely disappointed with the Christmas 3-course dinner at this Harvester restaurant, especially considering we paid £150 for two people. The table was sticky, and it took 20 minutes for our drinks to arrive after placing our order. We then waited another 15 minutes for our starters to come out. The main Christmas meal was also disappointing, with parsnips that were almost raw, turkey that looked like it came from a cheap deli counter, and bland, non-crispy roast potatoes. Despite the waitress being very busy, we felt the overall experience was lackluster for a Christmas dinner. We will not be returning to this restaurant and felt like we could have bought a frozen roast dinner from...

Where do you start! Large family visit at 4.00pm , offered a very cold table , door wouldn’t close properly so changed into the bar area. Group of three ladies echoed my observation that only one Waitress was working and trying her absolute best to serve everyone She was literally running from restaurant area to the bar and back continuously etc etc etc…. Her apologies were obviously very well meant but any establishment running on so tight a margin didn’t need another walkout on this day , which they had. So , congratulations and a Tip went to her but a Massive No to the Restaurant. 4/5 new members of staff turned up at 5.00pm and she still stayed until 5.30 30 mins over her shift to make s...

Chose The Talbot as the location for our son’s 18th Birthday party already these guys were on to a winner as we had been turned down by other places who would not accept our large table booking on a half term weekend. The Talbot were happy for us to book even though it was a Sunday lunchtime, and then followed that up by being absolutely brilliant on the day. Could not really have asked for better we were a party of 13 with kids, fussy eaters, vegans, disabled you name it, they bent over backwards to cater for it with no problems whatsoever. Our server Ryan was helpful and attentive even though he had two large bookings on separate dining floors to look after, our orders were taken correctly...
