"Had a strange experience here this week. On arrival it was very busy which is usually a good sign, the area and Cafe itself look lovely. The wife and I took up seats inside and were looking for prices on the menu for their coffee and cakes but couldn 't find them anywhere. I went and asked and the staff wanted to know what we wanted, I explained that we didn 't know yet but wanted to know prices before we order so we know what we 're paying. Pretty normal cafe or shop procedure I thought! The staff explained they don 't have their coffee prices on their menus but that they 're all about £3.30 and the cakes are all about £3.80 I asked how they operate like that, do they just guess at the time or give different prices to different people? I wouldn 't know if I was spending a fiver or 20 quid! Most odd and we ended up walking out without ordering as it just seemed a bit chaotic and disorganised. I don 't think I 've ever been to a cafe/coffee shop that doesn 't have their prices displayed. Seemed like a nice place though but you just have to guess what you 're spending."

Very nice eclectic cafe. It was shutting as we arrived but they still made us welcome and provided great coffee and some lovely cakes.

The best coffee I've had for a very long time... in a lovely setting... whilst we didn’t eat this time, all the food coming from the kitchen looked, and smelled, lovely View menu

Excellent provision for gluten free diners. The menu booklet has the GF menu on the first page and there are healthy options with generous portions. There's also more than one GF cake option too.

The atmosphere of the tile press is lovely for a special occasion or an afternoon tea with a friend. We had occasion to book for a baby shower.Every effort was made to fill our needs and requests and the afternoon tea was delicious and substantial. I would definitely use this place again for an occasion and hope to pop in for a tea and cake some time soon. 5* food 5* service Would happily recommend

"we wanted to visit the midlands and family for the first time since Christmas and in the frame of the visit I decided that we would take my mother for a nice Sunday dinner. she lives in telford and I am not familiar with the contrary so that I am on tripadvisor for ideas. I mean, I was looking for restaurants in Telford and sorted by rating; clays of broseley was the best from the list and that was what I booked. it is about a minute drive from my mother place through a beautiful shropshire landscape. we arrived in broseley a little early and found a parking space right in front of the restaurant. we were invited to take place on the terrace while they opened and had some drinks. I had a fantastic homemade limonade with glittering water, my mother had a Rhabarb juice that was so delicious that we were strolling home with us and my wife had a very nice pot tee. we had booked a table that had been placed in the restaurant for us, but we were offered the table on the terrace for lunch, which we liked to accept as the weather was perfect. we all ordered from the midday card, which for two courses and for three courses was a fantastic bargain. I ordered salmon and hake meatcakes with delicate brokolli, spargas and a white wine sauce and my wife and mother both ordered the beef Sirloin roast dinner. I was so impressed with eating. honestly, this restaurant lives up to all reviews. the ingredients were fresh and tasty and not refined as they get some places. to dessert my mother and I both had the rhubarb and custard' and playful plate that rhubarb compott, gelee, vanilla cream and small mygues combined crazy. the perfect end for every afternoon. during the meal were the employees (I'm sorry to say that I didn't get their names) attentive and friendly. our month old sohn, henry, has a stinking cold and has teethed, so was not on his best behavior, but the staff was fantastic with him. They even went so far that they broke out one of their dogs, a beautiful, huge dog called barney, for henry's entertainment. to cover everything, and this is great for parents of small children, they had a full baby change unit, complete with diapers, wipes and unhappy bags! I can honestly say I've never seen this before. all in all, for three nets, two desserts and drinks, the bill came less than unnecessary to say, I intend to visit again when we are close. I really can't wait."
