"Really nice venue. Well laid out with seating downstairs and upstairs. If live music is playing, it can be noisy so ask to be seated upstairs. There are effectively two menus the cost effective one and the pricey one. We went for the former. Our waitress was knowledgeable and was able to answer our questions. Service was reasonably quick. Food was very nice. Toilets were very clean and well decorated. There was an overflow car park though it was busy and on a really busy night you might need to park down the road."

Catholic the house has perhaps moved, but the quality of the food is just as great at the new place and, to add, there is a brilliantly equipped bar and garden supplement. amazing eating and fantastic worth as well. love it! View menu

I was a good time for the time when I lost the cocktail on tyler kiln. we have enlightened my wife, who is on the farm, but I have tried to get a KATHTON cavity, as they have a KOCKTAIL-S-Good in edinburgh, as they would do in their office. nice, clean, dorset type pub with free staff.

First time visiting and definitely wont be the last! Had a fantastic Sunday Roast, generous portions and brilliant roast potatoes. Sat outside in the wonderful garden which had heaters and a canopy. Staff are very friendly and will go out of their way to help. Best wishes to you all and thank you for your wonderful food and service during these difficult times. Stay safe and see you soon.

"After never visiting Canterbury before we where looking for somewhere to have a late lunch, we came across this place which looked ok, upon entering the back room we were offered to take a seat in the front area and someone will be with us. We asked what food there was and we where sarcastically shown the food on the blackboard, after choosing what we wanted the polite man went off and put the order in. We did feel that because the man had asked a couple of questions to another member of staff that he was spoke down too a bit. Anyway after placing the order and what we wanted the food came out it wasn’t correct but because it seemed like we were going to interrupt the people in the back room we just took what we had. It was nice food though. When we went to pay we hadn’t noticed that there wasn’t a price list so when we asked for the bill we were told that it was donation, what we thought was enough, it wasn’t posted anywhere and it took us by surprise as we where standing at the till, I was going to pay in cash but was told they don’t take cash so I had to give my donation in card by telling the person how much we where donating. After plucking a figure out of air as we wasn’t prepared we paid and left. Upon leaving we felt that the person we paid thought we hadn’t paid enough and wasn’t happy with the amount but after working out what we would have paid properly we worked out that we had paid more than what it might have been if there was a proper price on everything. Overall it has a great ethos and it’s great for giving people the experience that they need to be in a working environment but they need to show the price or tell customers first that it’s donations and card only."
