excellent location with lots of space inside and outside, friendly staff and great eating.

quite pub in a lovely opposite, we found it quite expensive for pub food, but after said that it was decent eating and the personal was friendly.

Great lunch mid cycle from Guildford to Peaslake. Lovely quiet garden. Fish and chips were good and vegarian burger proclaimed as “best ever”. Nice crumble for pud.

This is our local and we often drop down for a swift pint. This was the first time we had a Sunday lunch there and it was great. Fresh vegetables oodles of gravy top notch meat and attentive service. We will definitely be going back.

I don't know my card was kept behind the bar for the duration of the visit. never happened before and was uncomfortable with tactics. to the waitress who said it was a normal practice that was not true at the last three visits of the volunteer, otherwise very happy. View menu

The pub is just doing pizza and burgers really, but they are amazingly tasty and generous. The staff are great friendly and efficient. We sat outdoors on a warm summer evening. There’s poor choice for vegans, gluten intolerance etc. It was very quiet even though a Friday night. We had a lovely visit. The dessert menu is limited and expensive at £6.50 the coffees were good. We love coming here.

we enjoyed our meals, but the early midday booking meant that we were the only people in the pub restaurant that eat for most time. Nevertheless, the baked cadres, the kings garnel and steak and nierenpudding were all good. we used this restaurant earlier, but at this opportunity we felt that the volunteer came back only in the swing of the dinge after the different covid drawdown challenges. in our memory the menu choices of previous occasions were significantly reduced. however, their offer is still impressive for a small village pub.

Booked just a couple of hours before we needed a table. Was welcomed at the door, and shown to the seating area we had chosen to sit outside which offered lovely views over the hillside opposite. There were not many other diners outside so it was lovely and quiet. Very efficient, cheerful, friendly and prompt service. The food was delicious with a varied menu and mouthwatering specials , chosen by 2 of our party (wish I had chosen the ribs 2! Altogether a perfect place for a trip out with my elderly parents who are still cautious about going out anywhere following this last year of shielding, but who were relaxed, happy and at the end of the meal very full.
