"Very large but rather soulless pub which hasn't made the most of its beautiful old buildings and clamped some hideous hotel on the side. Very useful as journey pitstop though. We weren't dining but the restaurant was busy which at three midday and midweek probably means the food is good. The lady who served us was nice and welcoming and the drinks order was exactly as requested. Toilets were clean, although no one seemed to have noticed the broken constantly running tap. If you are into Jane Austen you will get a kick out of the fact that this is where she used to wait for her post having walked across the fields from her home a few miles away."

We had a very pleasant Sunday roast dinner, great food and excellent service from all the staff. Good food and a good menu. Wonderful.

Stopped in for brunch the food was well laid out if a little lukewarm. It did taste nice, the pub is well laid out, not huge but not cramped and the staff were polite and attentive

The staff was very polite and informed us that the menu was somewhat limited, but a new one would be available tomorrow. The service was good. Overall, I would rate it 4 for service and 5 for location. View menu

Decent place to stay. We stopped here for 2 nights recently as a base. The room was clean and cannot grumble at all for the price paid. The breakfast each morning was nice. The only gripe is the smell on level 1 corridor in the hotel bit. Not sure if the carpet needs a good soak. But nevertheless nice place and friendly staff

I am currently staying at the Wheat Sheaf for a work training and typically I would write a review after I leave a place. However, I have ordered takeout from here for three nights now and I must say the service has been exceptional. The staff is incredibly friendly, helpful, and professional. The room is very comfortable and the food is outstanding. I would definitely stay at this hotel again without any hesitation and would give it a 5-star rating. View menu

We recently stayed at Marwell Zoo and were very impressed. Our family room, including breakfast, was only Β£79, which we found to be incredible value for money. The room was clean, well-furnished, and the beds were comfortable. The breakfast options were delicious and plentiful. We also enjoyed a fantastic evening meal and took advantage of their online discount program. The staff were friendly and provided excellent service. Overall, we couldn't fault the place.

We decided to have an early dinner at this restaurant and had a great experience. The ambiance was very pleasant, although the onion rings served with the hamburger were a bit chewy and not fresh. However, the Korean chicken dish (a new addition to the menu) was excellent, and my colleague enjoyed his main course of pork belly. The staff was friendly, and there was plenty of seating to enjoy some appetizers and drinks. I highly recommend this place for a casual meal or drinks.
