Great Local Pub. Was quiet on Boxing day but well worth a visit

No heating on ,not good food plates cold some food cold no customers

Excellent food ,fast friendly service. All our meals were first class, quality food, could'nt fault anything. Will definitely be back.

Very friendly landlord and landlady, always make you feel welcome and have worked hard to build up a nice community atmosphere. Sunday dinners are excellent and the landlady's homemade cheesecake and pavlova is to die for. Would also definitely recommend the curries on a Thursday evening, excellent authentic punjabi cuisine.

Have had many a fantastic Sunday lunch here in the past but after a negative experience we thought we would try it again to see. Have to say we were a little disappointed. Would have been nice to have had a better choice of vegetables and also would have been nice to have had some roast parsnips. The meat was ok but the gravy had an aftertaste which I think was wine. I decided to give this restaurant another chance after it was taken over by new owners. I was not disappointed. The soup was delicious and the Sunday lunch was really nice and hot, a vast improvement from our last visit when it was inedible. There was a good variety of vegetables as well. This restaurant used to be a favorite of ours, and we are glad to see it improving. We hope the new owners do well as they deserve it.

I recently decided to give this restaurant another try after the previous owners did not fare well. I was not disappointed. The starter, a homemade pate, was delicious. The roast beef was cooked to perfection, as were the roasted potatoes. The desserts were also enjoyable. I highly recommend giving it a try for yourself. I am now a regular patron of this restaurant, as the new owners are very polite and engaging. It is refreshing to see young owners taking over. Give it a try, you won't be disappointed. I'll leave it at that, but definitely give it a shot.

Today me and a group of Foster Carers visited this restaurant for a Christmas meal. The food was average. We had to pay a £10 deposit each and ended up spending £200 plus drinks. We were surprised to be asked to pay the balance before the meal. We disagreed with this policy but eventually it was agreed that we could pay the remaining bill at the end of our meal. Unfortunately, one person in our group was unable to attend due to illness. Despite the restaurant holding her £10 deposit, they still expected us to pay her remaining £5. We found this to be unacceptable. We have decided we will not be returning to this restaurant in the future. View menu
