"I visited twice during my recent holiday. On the first night, the good was good but the lamb dinner was spoilt by being served marmite butter of all things! I asked for some butter to go with my food and only realised it was marmite butter after applying it when I asked the waitress, she knew it was marmite butter but hadn't told me, which I found very strange. The service when I finished my desert was also quite poor no one came to remove my dish or ask if I wanted anything else, and when I went to pay, rather than using a till which was free, a staff member (who had been simply standing round chatting to the waitresses all night just slouched and watched a waitress serve another customer at the other till instead. The food was good though and I decided to give it another try thankfully my 2nd visit was much better. I was sat in a much nicer part of the restaurant and the service was much friendlier and better (it was a far busier night which might have helped although there were different staff too . The food was excellent (I had the whitebait starter, steak main and poached strawberry and chocolate tart for my desert (which was particularly nice , if a little expensive, there was no marmite butter, and I had an enjoyable meal on the 2nd night."

Best Sunday lunch I have ever tasted. The staff are excellent so helpful will definitely be returning soon. I highly recommend the Lamb it was full of flavour not to mention the mash was exceptional.

Sunday lunch was ok but for the price could have had a little more meat and better quality veg. Lamb and beef were cut so thin, very tasty but not much. Half a parsnip which was a shame as they’re my fav! Two small...

What a find! Popped in for dinner with my daughter after a spa day as we didn't want to travel too far from where we were. We were not disappointed. The food was delicious we both had the Wolfe burger which was super tasty....

Booked a table for 3pm for Sunday lunch, they were obviously very busy. We arrived and stood around while staff rushed past us yet no one made eye contact. A couple at a table nearby said they’d been there for an hour but as yet...

First time we’ve been to this Inn. We had a Sunday roast which in fairness was very tasty. What let it down was the poor service. Had to go to the bar to order drinks after sitting down for 15 minutes. The serving staff did not seem to have any direction or leadership.

Best meal I’ve had in wales. The staff were so friendly and passionate about how their food is all locally sourced. One of the tastiest and tender steaks I’ve had and the chips were to die for. I didn’t think it could get any better and then the sticky toffee pud arrived. Yum!

We found the Wolfe Inn by chance have just had the most enjoyable dining experience. The serving staff were polite very friendly the locally sourced menu had something for us all to favour. I would certainly recommend anyone to try this place, as I’m sure you will not regret it.

We held a surprise 80th party for my Dad at the Wolfe and the whole event was brilliant! I live in Buckinghamshire so organised the whole thing via email/phone and couldn’t have been happier with the help given by Nicole and the team, and everybody commented on how great their food was on the evening. 26 people served, all beautifully presented and hot, and clean plates throughout. Those people that had steak said it was beautifully cooked and very tender, and other special mentions go to the black pudding scotch egg, the whitebait and the faggots! Delicious. The wine was good and the staff kept the drinks flowing I could not have been happier with how the evening went and would recommend th...
