"We visited today for lunch. The menu was very varied and catered for all needs. The staff were very friendly and informative. The food was excellent. Generous portions on the weekly specials, piping hot and very tasty. The puddings menu covered everything. There was nothing not to like. We had two drinks, two mains, two puddings each £45. Amazing value. Thank you."

"Nice food, but be very careful around the bill, just seen other reviews around this, shame, greedy people cant back up what they say.£170 for a takeaway that adds up to £135 if you place the order online through their own website……..Rang up challenged the price strange that they said I need to talk to the manager but he’s not available………..Why do people need to try screw customers over, pure greed, will probably go under eventually if they keep doing this to people"

"I visited the Jolly Fryer with my wife for a snack. We both had sausage and chips and we were charged £3.50 each, totalling £7. I don 't usually go into fish and chip shops as I think they are always over priced and if you ask for, for instance, fish and chips, they don 't ask you if you want small or large chips, they just charge you the large chip price. Anyway I am always checking the prices first to make sure I 'm not overcharged. On the board it says 'SMALL CHIPS £1.40 ' SAUSAGE £1.70, so this should have been £3.10 each, totalling £6.20 but we were charged £7. When I queried this, without having to explain anything really, the lady said 'the chips £1.40 are a half a bag of chips '. I said that is a bit of a con. She immediately, without me asking , went to the till and gave me some money back. So basically, when you look up for a small bag of chips, and that 's all it says, a small bag of chips, for £1.40, you are automatically, at the till, charged £1.80 and if you query it, they say they advertise a small bag of chips for £1.40 is only half a bag of chips, but it does not say this. Have you ever been to a chip shop and asked for half a bag of chips? What a con this is. But if you look on their table menu, small chips is £1.80. Its all a bit confusing, but they are ripping you off!"

"Noticed the reviews on Trip Advisor reviews, we went late October on a Saturday, delightful meal for two quality salmon and quality meals wouldnt hesitate in recommending. Went back midweek in November the meals were really poor we ordered exactly the same meals and the...contrast was so marked. Poor food quality a head) If it was a cheap and cheerful Wetherspoons you would of just about accepted the food on offer. Bland. Rather than post a Negative review I never do I then emailed the owners and just simply asked.....Has the Chef Changed ?...is this a case of Weekend Chef...Midweek Chef? I got an email back with a load of Platitudes but No Answer to my direct question whatsoever and that was that. Im not returning given the visit and how they responded to a minor complaint which was exceptionally complimentary for the majority from a customer who described his first visit as just Outstanding. But the judgement of great customer service , is what you do when it goes wrong. In this case they failed to answer me whatsoever. I am just wanting to know, given the dates, where they different chefs ?..Thats all i asked. They hope their words) we associate with them in the future and that is that.Based on my response. NO"
