"Went at midday for Sunday roast. Was told it was chicken and beef. Ordered 2 roast, 1 nutroast and 1 fish and chips. Ten minutes later we were told the beef wouldn't be ready until 4pm. 45 minutes later the food arrived. Roast potatoes looked good but were soggy and cold, the broccoli was hard and cold, nutroast was burnt on the edges, mash was cold. The chick was not a roast just a dry chicken fillet tgat tasted horrid. The lovely staff asked was everything ok but was nit at all surprised when I told them it was absolutely vile and I would not be paying for it. One actually said I don't blame you I'm fed up with it. Never in my life have I not paid for my food no matter what. Hubby ate his fish and chips so said I would pay for that. £21 fir 4 coke and a frozen fish and chips. Absolutely rank"

Expensive Ceaser salad £10 without chicken, not nice when my sister found a hair in it, looked like a dog hair. They replaced with a sorry, but no discount or free coffee or desert.

I cost the food. good portions, came fast. beautiful staff and reasonable prices. beautiful location sat in winter garden on the back. Lambs were great. the garlic bread starter with chili and wobble was brilliant.

The restaurant offers delicious food at an affordable price. The owners are welcoming and create a friendly atmosphere. It is dog-friendly and conveniently located for travelers heading both north and south on the M6. I highly recommend this restaurant.

Very disappointing apparently 2021 was great so booked with family. No Christmas music, no activities for children, no table decorations in fact a Christmas tree appeared to be the only decoration. Food was so basic sausage or egg sandwich in 2 slices bread and a mug of coffee and long wait

my friend and I visited today 5 o'clock a hobby with bad hips....me.... friend climbed ersatzknie. all staff very friendly and attentive, but zac asked us giggle...i if we could finish our drinks outside and have a zigarette. he said as long as we don't go to the parking lot without paying. as if.

Ellie Carl have done amazing things with this pub in such a short space of time!! The food is outstanding and is a complete turnaround to what it was. the drinks are perfectly served and the beer and Cask is most certainly on point. Certainly the Woodsman is a try if your in the local area or even on the M6 and need a pit stop!! A huge bonus is they have working Electric charging points for your car!!

We were meeting friends and this pub/restaurant was chosen as it was half way between both parties. This pub has recently had a change of management. We were warmly welcomed and and on a quiet evening had a choice of tables. We made our choices from the extensive menu and also ordered drinks. The meals arrived and we're all cooked to our liking. We the ordered desserts and again were served by very pleasant staff. We were very happy by having chosen this pub and will certainly visit again.
