"Have never eaten here, but only ever heard positive feed back. Cousins birthday, I do not live in the area so rang to order some bottles of bubbles for the table. Only writing this as experience was very upsetting and I am still shocked. I spoke with a lady, explained cousin having birthday dinner (I did get name wrong that table was ordered under) so wanted to make sure was correct table. She said I was loud and shouting. I have a loud voice (nodules on voice box). But its also naturally loud as well. I do not raise my voice, it is not my style also my voice loud enough. It doesnt need raising. We finally worked out correct table, I then thought she had gone to get payment machine. But she just hung up. So I called back, another waitress answered. I explained previous call and again asked if I could pay over phone for bottles of bubbles. I was asked to wait a moment whilst she fetched the machine. Whilst I waited I had to listen to what herself and the first waitress were saying about me. Won 't lie, it was very upsetting and I 'm quite a tough cookie. Completely unnecessary and unprofessional as well as hurtful. When she came back on phone I politely told her I heard all their conversation, she went quiet and apologised then asked if still wanted the bubbles. I politely replied 'I don 't think so '. Not sure what to take away from this experience. At least cover phone or put on hold if your going to talk badly about someone who wishes to spend money whom you have never met............"

Had lovely wild mushroom risotto last Monday at just £5.99. Mondays are pasta, pizza and risottos all £5.99. Exceptional price and quality. Will definitely be back for more.

Mum's 70th birthday meal started a little slowly as what was promised on booking did not happen. However, the manager was very apologetic and the night went amazingly. The food was excellent the service was on point. The whole night went right. Thank you all at Papa Luigis for the perfect 70th birthday. Mum loved it.

happy medium. I go to papas for every local occasion, birthdays, engagements or sometimes just a meal. papa is a great restaurant, always packed, so it must be good.? I have about the most expensive item on the menu, at the lowest price, could not find anything yet that I thought was nice, not even ok, only very bland. all that is missing from this little place is something love to the detail, fresh taste packed food. Although I am at this place tonight, but for £3.95 I have no complaints! I have to tell them that the service is a top line, which in a way compensates for the average meal I had there. chicken caicatorre £13.50 or to settle with a pizza, something I can't owe. This has been one of my local restaurants since I have lived in the area (forever). It has always kept up its reputation of a lovely Italian restaurant perfect for birthdays and celebrations. I visited this weekend for an evening meal and it didn’t disappoint. Staff were lovely and provided a great service and the food was very tasty, with generous portions. My niece is a vegetarian and has quite a limited diet, they were happy to provide to a simple spaghetti Napoli and do have a note on the menu highlighting the veggie and vegan options are available. They have a lot of midweek deals on at great prices so I would recommend going in the week. PICTURED spaghetti Con Frutti Di Mare Pane All A...

papa luigi’s is a very lively restaurant, went here for the three course menu that was just £12,95 and it was amazing. the staff was very friendly and very attentive. eating was great, everything we had ordered was great. I had the fresh chicken wings (starter,) pasta with choorizo, sausage and huh in tomatensauce (main course) and the hot chocolate fudge cake (dessert.) the starter was amazing, the huhn was perfectly boiled and it came with a bit sweet chili sauce. the main course I had ordered was great, it came with a lot of sausage that was beautiful and the sauce really tasted good. I would also recommend the lasagne who was for to die. the dessert was in order, the cake was a bit dry,...

Been coming here for years, on various evenings including Mondays, Saturday evenings the odd week night, but the last few times the food hasn't been as good, it's like they are using cheaper ingredients, I've had most of the menu aswell, Garlic breads have been burnt, hardly any cheese on them, Calazone just tasted of onions peppers with a watery tomato sauce, my lasagne I had the last few times was tasteless I've had better pizzas from a takeaway, yes you pay for what you get, seen lots of staff come go over the years, now how can you call this an Italian when not one single Italian actually works there, they are all Hungarian, so to me it isn't an authentic Italian restaurant like it used...

"this restaurant is getting better when we visit, but tonight it was absolutely excellent. from the moment when one of our party appeared early (first in the restaurant and was wonderfully respected for the very friendly farewell, this was a wonderful evening. the staff was extremely nice and efficient and made the visit really. there were free olives, brot and cheeses directly and we were made to feel welcome from the beginning. [sides: why not give restaurants to customers small free tasty stores? they cost pennies and customers love them. they are also a point of discussion. that was great. for the appetizers, the chorizo, the cloves in feta cheese and tomaten (I know, but it works and the calamari were all exceptionally good. the Greek kleftiko lamb was absolutely out of this world. boiled for three hours and served with a delicious vegetable pot like a ratatouille, it was really the outstanding dish. another member of our party had the steak in pfeffergrass sauce and welcomed the great part and the rich sauce. the brandy and tia maria coffee have a completely new meaning for the set generous measures. The only less than impressive element was the cheesecake of the day, which seemed to be an external source and more pedestrian. all dishes were beautifully presented and served piping hot. there is no doubt that eating now matches the service in bistecca. this was a Wednesday evening at 18 o'clock and in the following hour the restaurant was occupied but not crowded. the word has come out clearly. it would be too early to say it is on a par with the magnificent retreat restaurant a few hundred meters on the road, but it is certainly in this direction. bistecca can not compete with retreat on hire or ambience (who can? but it is certainly now competing with them on the quality of food on the teller and at the end it is important."
