"I can't find any faults with this restaurant. The staff were incredibly friendly and even remembered me from my phone booking. They were very hospitable. The food was amazing, high quality dishes at a great price. I started with the crab claws, which were cooked perfectly and packed with flavor. My salad was also very tasty. My partner had the stuffed pork fillet with scallops and couldn't stop raving about it. The pork fillet was incredibly tender and the black pudding was fantastic. We both had the chicken stack for our main, a simple dish executed perfectly. The champ was delicious and flavorful. The chicken was tender and full of flavor, and the whiskey cream was decadently delicious. It was a BYOB restaurant, which was great, but unfortunately we were driving so we couldn't bring our own wine. The staff were excellent in terms of social distancing and wearing masks. The bathrooms were clean and it was easy to see if there was a line so we could easily socially distance. The food was fresh, delicious, and well-prepared. Overall, an excellent restaurant that I will definitely be returning to."

I can’t boast about this restaurant enough, the food is stunning and is consistently delicious. I have brought large groups of girls, families And sent two anniversaries here and they have all been catered for, the staff are friendly and the atmosphere is warm and homely making it all rounder in my eyes, with the added bonus of BYO View menu

We had a quick dinner here on the last night of our holiday in Ballycastle. We didn’t have a booking but the staff were very accommodating and got us a table quickly. Food was absolutely fantastic. My Rib-eye steak and my wife’s Sirloin were perfectly cooked. Loved it. Thanks to Anthony, our guide at the Giants causeway, for the recommendation.

We absolutely loved the food at this restaurant. The attentive and friendly service provided by the young waitress was especially noteworthy. The steaks were delicious, as were the sides. The portions were quite generous, so you could easily share between two if you're not too hungry. We will definitely be returning to this restaurant in the future.

We had one of the best meals on our 2 week tour of the country in Thirty Nine Restaurant. The food was just excellent wonderful flavours and well presented. I had fish for starter and main and both dishes were fresh and so tasty. Our waitress (the owner, her husband is the head chef) was warm and attentive. We only discovered on the day that this is a bring your own bottle restaurant, with a very reasonable corkage. The interior is modern and crisp but warm and it was spotless we saw the owner bleaching the toilets at least every hour. A great family restaurant in a central location. Highly recommended. Ate here last night whilst staying in Ballycastle. First thing to say is that the girl waiting on was absolutely lovely, definitely earnt her wage for the night and deserves a bonus! However, the service was not good. She was on her own and the restaurant was full. Peeking through the kitchen door, she also seemed to be doing the food prep herself! Poor girl was rushing round like a lunatic but,as you would expect, the service wasnt great. The food was fine, there was an awful lot of it and it was good value. Not the best I've ever had but somewhere I'd go again. But for goodness sake, Mr or Ms Restaurant Owner, if you're reading this, don't do that to the poor girl again!!!

Don’t let appearances fool you—the decor may be minimalist, but the dishes are fantastic. This place is perfect for groups or a casual date night. Be sure to book in advance but! The BYO idea just great for us and corkage was an excellent deal, the fish and steak dishes all excellent in flavour and quality and quantity!! I had the calamari, it was crispy and light, followed a monster of an 8oz ribeye, which came with a juicy beef tomato and a side order, I had the cheesy bacon mash, moorish! Cooked to perfection, not many places get it that right. The staff were all wearing masks, and visors and sanitising every surface, door handles, rest rooms, tables, seats, and I see they have undergone...

"I would have loved to rate our dining experience at the Ivy House a lot higher but we were to leave somewhat disappointed. The dining area was pleasant and intimate with well appointed decor, the waitress and waiters pleasant, polite and attentive. The varied menu looked very appetising with most tastes catered for. We chose two courses from the main menu, the Duck Breast and a Fish Dish for myself. Contrary to other reviews we were to wait over 40 minutes before the food was presented to us. We were not advised of any delays or even the expected length of time we might have to wait. The food on arrival was well presented and flavoursome although I did not consider two small stem broccoli spears a serving. I also asked the waiter why there was no Samphire to accompany my dish as stated on the menu, this comment was also reinforced by a fellow diner who ate the same dish just prior to me. The waiter advised me that he would ask the chef. I did not receive a response to my question during further table service and subsequently asked the waiter again. On returning the waiter advised me the chef said “he will try to remember to put it on next time”, a somewhat disrespectful comment. The Cheese platter we were presented with was lacklustre and sparse, quince jelly and a small dish of chutney being the predominant feature. For ourselves we did not feel that our dining experience represented good value for money."
