We had a very nice meal here, very friendly staff and a nice quiet environment. I had the diavolo pizza which was one of the best I have had in a while.

My birthday celebration at this restaurant was fantastic. The staff was very friendly and surprised me with an ice cream cake. I highly recommend trying the chicken Caesar salad.

The lunch was fantastic, with a delicious veggie capricciosa pizza and a flavorful tomato, caper, and onion salad. The food arrived promptly and the staff was friendly, providing excellent service. Overall, there was nothing to complain about!

I come here very often with my kids. The food is amazing, and gelato is so good. Last time, they did tartufi with chocolate,was so so good. I hope they make that again. I wish this place could sell ice cream by the river. It would be good for York.

Our second visit, last time we were in a large group, the food was lovely but the service wasn't great. This time was worse if anything!!! Service is just awful. The food is good but ....waiting well over an hour for a main course in a half empty restaurant is just ridiculous. Then you have to go to the counter and wait an age to pay the bill!! This Italian restaurant is without a doubt the most charming in town. The ambiance is welcoming and relaxed, and the staff is attentive and friendly. We thoroughly enjoyed our pizza and ravioli, and the gelato was the best we've had since our trip to Italy. It transported us back to our vacation instantly. We will definitely be returning next time we are in York!

Great food but let down by service. I was basically ignored. Started well but could not attract anyone's attention to order another drink so just didn't bother. Struggled again to get anyone's attention to get the bill and eventually pay. Not sure why this was so problematic as there were at least 3 staff members gathered at the bar right in front of me at any given time but they just weren't paying attention which proved so frustrating that I left without leaving a tip which is not something I ever do.

Really disappointing experience after a previously good meal here. We waited over an hour after being seated to receive any food. The system in this place is ridiculous, giving drinks quickly but unwilling to take food orders; there are obviously problems in the kitchen and with communication with the small service team. The restaurant was very full with one large party and 2 smaller ones but if they can’t deal with that number of customers they shouldn’t take reservations. The food was only adequate, though not special; the lasagne being very sloppy. We will not return. View menu
