"For my first time at Wagamama, it was a lot better than I expected. I've always thought of it as the Macdonalds or KFC of the Asian food world and supported local restaurants. However, the one I was going to go to was closed for maintenance so I grinned and beared it when my boyfriend suggested Wagamama. As soon as I walked in I felt a warmth in the room, physically and metaphorically. It was scorching hot and it smelled fantastic. We were seated on a shared table which I really liked, and left to browse the menu. I was surprised to see so many Japanese foods like gyoza and ramen, but no sushi. They had Chinese steamed buns on there (Bao and kimchi (they spell it kimchee which I've always thought to be a Korean food. So this mix of Asian foods confused me a bit considering I thought I was meant to be a Japanese style of restaurant. I ordered the prawn itame, and my boyfriend got the chilli ramen, as well as chicken gyoza and miso soup with pickles. We drank a carrot juice and the (FREE! green tea. My itame was gorgeous the lemongrass and coconut with the lime and coriander worked really well together and I was happy with my choice. The miso soup was slightly tepid and I thought it could have had more tofu in it. The gyoza was great, and the sauce was lovely too. Not the best I've had but considering it's a chain, not bad. The ramen was ok, but took a lot of seasoning for it to have as much flavour as was needed. We both left full, warm and happy with our meals, and the reason I gave it 4 not 5 stars is because the miso soup let them down. Otherwise, it was great and I'll be back!"

Wagamama is decent for a chain restaurant but I don't think that it is anything overly special. As far as authenticity goes, I think that this Japanese food is as authentic as McDonalds is healthy... Still, the food is tasty and the portions are incredibly generous. The service leaves a lot to be desired as they can be incredibly slow to bring your food and they don't seem to bring all the food out at once which is a major negative for me.

After what felt like an eternity of waiting, around 20 minutes, our food finally arrived, and it was, unfortunately, cold. I celebrated my birthday there in summer, yet my meal felt more suited for winter. The noodles were disappointing—bland and lacking flavor. I had been excited to sit on a colorful rainbow bench and enjoy the experience, but I won't be returning. While I won’t say you shouldn't go there—it might appeal to others—I definitely won't be back.

Great for a lunch out with my friends! They were very quick to seat us, although we were a large group at rush hour. The waitresses seemed stressed and slightly jumbled because they kept bringing the wrong plates to our table, but it was also extremely busy. The food was awesome. I got the veggie gyoza starter which came with a tangy soy sauce to dip in. I really liked it! For my meal, I got the teriyaki chicken rice bowl and, after adding chili oil, was perfect to my liking! We all left very full and very satisfied.

I ordered my usual dish, chicken Katsu curry—I'm guessing it’s the default choice for about 90% of men at Wagamama. Unfortunately, it was heavy and came to the table looking “glistening” (but not in a good way). Overall, it was a major disappointment, especially when considering the prices, which have crept into full sit-down meal territory. On the plus side, the staff were friendly, efficient, and helpful. However, this isn’t the place I once remembered. If you want to compete in midtown Manhattan, you really need to improve. Seriously.

I am a self confessed Wagamama addict!! I always order Duck Gyoza which comes with a cherry hoisin sauce (which is to die for) and the Chicken Katsu Curry which comes with sticky rice and a salad with the most amazing tasting dressing! Their fruit juices are fresh and taste amazing my personal favourites are Fruit and Tropical. This Wagamama is usually particularly busy so be prepared to share a table with loads of random diners when it's peak time! Other than that, the staff are efficient and friendly, the food is always great quality and I've never left unhappy!

Met a friend here for dinner as she highly recommended the White Chocolate Ginger Cheesecake. Wagamamas can get quite busy and at the Brighton branch, the room has no dividing walls so can hear lots of conversations and the cooking happening in the background. We ordered some rice bowls which were tasty but I felt the prices were a bit higher than expected. Had the White Chocolate Ginger Cheesecake which was delicious but to be honest, it was a bit too sweet for me. Can't fault Wagamamas too much but I don't think I'll return here due to the prices and atmosphere of the restaurant.

Wagamama was one of my go-to places when I lived in Brighton, and I'm pleased to say it's just as good now. The food is delicious, and I really appreciate the atmosphere. The restaurant offers both communal and private tables, creating a fun yet romantic vibe in different areas. The service can be hit or miss; during our last visit, one server was excellent while another was lacking. I recall this being the case in the past as well. Regardless of the service, it's a great spot with tasty food. The duck wraps were fantastic, I really enjoyed the chicken ramen, and my friend loved his chicken katsu.

I am addicted to Wagamama's Chicken Kare Lomen. Whenever I feel hung-over, premenstrual or under the weather, I know kare lomen will make me feel better. The fiery red coconut and lemongrass soup soothes my soul whilst the ramen noodles, cucumber, beansprouts and finely sliced chicken breast feed my hunger. Add a side portion of edamame with chilli garlic salt or ebi katsu (fried prawns in panko breadrumbs with a spicy chilli sauce) and I'm ready to face the world again. Occasionally, I've been given a less than hot bowl of kare lomen but the service at this branch is usually so good, it's replaced with a perfect bowl a few minutes later. The open plan dining makes eating at Wagamama a perfe...

I went out here for my fathers birthday as we all liked it and we haven't been in since lockdown. When we went in it didn't take long for us to be sat down and after our or my food had arrived. I had the yaki udon same as my father. When it arrived and we had our first taste. We both agreed it was mediocre it wasn't as good as it was last time, the udon lacked any form of sauce to go with it. The udon lacks most of the meat it said it would have and it was full of cheap and frankly awfully tasting greenery. There was little in the way of noodles in the dish and my carrot juice drink was a lot worse than I remember being a lot sweeter and a lot less carrot, generally I am not going to go back...
