"Have been here many many times before the Thai food here is just brilliant and it’s very easy to forgive the tired decor, quirky headroom of some tables etc etc. However the past three times it has become apparent that their service standards are failing Significantly.I will only talk about this visit as have not mentioned it before because decided to ignore it as love the food.Pre booked a table and when we arrived only 4 tables out of 12 in use. Were offered Thai crackers and orders drinks. The drinks took 20 Minutes to arrive! Then we ordered the strayers and main meals, well ...... basically we had to wait an hour yes really an hour to get our starter!!!!!She sis apologise and give us some more crackers but for how few people were in there an hour was totally unacceptable without proper explanation.Ate our meals and spoke to the server who told us that the owner was very busy doing take away meals so that’s why we did mot get our food. I asked does he prioritise on take seats over people in the restaurant and her reply was ‘of course ‘.There was no apology at a and we distinctly got the impression that people eating In were a hassle for them because they can’t easily answer the phones or deal with the take away Food. This was such a disappointment for us as we love this place food and have eaten here loads of times but after the past three visits being so shambolic we really don’t want to book ourselves go back in ever again."

Unusual quaint basement location. Service and staff were great as is the food. Just a pity they weren't open in August so we could get some of Rishi's discount!

The worst service I have experienced in a long time along with very rubbish food. The ingredients certainly were not fresh. I would highly recommend looking elsewhere for a place to eat.

This restaurant is in the arcaded basement of the old Lamb Hotel which gives it an interesting atmosphere but also has good interesting Thai food. Alas only open from 5pm and not lunch. Very much worth trying View menu

Lovely food with good and friendly service. This is not a flash restaurant and the prices are very good. The decor is a little Kitsch but in a traditional Thai way. We especially love the low stone arched areas making it quite unique. We have become regular visitors.

This Thai restaurant offers a menu of classic dishes prepared authentically, beautifully presented in generous portions, and bursting with flavor. The staff is welcoming and provides top-notch service. The cozy underground setting is quiet even during peak hours, with cozy booths perfect for intimate dining. A fantastic Thai dining experience in the heart of a bustling market town.

"My wife and I ate here on a Sunday night, and were really impressed with what we found. It is a wine bar, which serves a reasonably extensive snack menu. Think of it like a French tapas kind of idea, with a number of small plates on offer to eat whilst sampling the many wines, rather than a traditional restaurant serving starters and mains. We ate the wild garlic pesto tartiflette, which was delicious, and also had a charcuterie board, with generous portions of iberico ham, parma ham and cooked ham, together with bread and chutney, which was equally delicious. The other plate we ordered was a prawn and avocado salad in a balsamic vinegar dressing. This too was really tasty and was a generous size. It being a wine bar, there are numerous wines on offer, but what we chose to do was the wine flight, where you each get three small glasses, each of a different wine. I chose the Bordeaux flight and my wife chose the Rioja flight. For about £15 each, we thought it was good value and enabled us to try six different wines for a reasonable price, all of which complemented the food perfectly. There are also both white and sparkling flights available, as well as a good wine list, most of which were very reasonably priced. The restaurant/bar itself is relatively small, and reminded me of a cosy ski lodge, with wood panels on the wall and nice bench seats. The atmosphere was very nice, and the service was excellent. All in all, it was a lovely evening and we really enjoyed our visit and would have no hesitation returning if we are ever in the area again."
