"a place where I "m past many times and will say again and again that I have to go well to what I did and I was not disappointed. nice eating (a bit expensive, but expected) many sitting inside and outside, supplied when they were a bit cool that I thought was a beautiful idea. the only part that was waiting for eating (we went on a nice warm sunny afternoon and it was soouu busy (again, to expect) but they told us when we ordered that it was a fairly long waiting period. parking can be a bit of a problem when it is busy, I landed parking on the grass along the main road where other cars were parked. more beautiful place to go though, definitely recommend"

The setting is beautiful and as it was a gorgeous sunny day we were able to sit outside and enjoy the view. The staff were friendly and helpful and the cake selection was huge. It made a great surprise birthday treat for my dad.

we went on a Sunday midday in the boiling heat and although it was filled, there was plenty of sitting space and although a long waiting queue to order food / drink, it really went fast with the efficiency of the staff. will definitely go back there and maybe try tee time next.

Stopped here twice over a weekend. The coffee and cake was very nice and was lovely sitting outside by the river. We went back for breakfast on the Sunday must say its a little bit pricey but very friendly staff and food was very good. This place seems to always be busy which is a good sign

that's absolutely great. the tasty eating, the friendly staff, the flowering atmosphere. I had never had a bad meal and I was for numerous breakfasts, lunch and dinner! her selection of cake is also impressive. it is very child-friendly, with baby snacks available, high chairs and fantastic changing facilities. they even sell food! would recommend it to everyone and will return soon.

Husband and myself often come here at the weekend for lunch, have always had lovely food Decided to bring M IN L for a treat We noted that the staff are not up to their usual standard, hardly a smile and grunts at you when asking a question, never clears the table unless you ask them too and kept giving people wrong orders Have been back since and I must admit it didn't seem so chaotic as last time and noticed new staff being shadowed. Yes a bit pricey but food lovely and location wonderful.

then went into the view and the terrace then went into the caffe wonderful personal. not like chain business chiefs. cappuccino brilliant creamy coffee mild then the bitter intense of chocolate £37 it would be good absolutely brilliant and my wife's ass cake never saw a factory and I had a sandwich to die for £5 worth of smoked salmon and garnel and I sent nice to the wonderful coworkers discreet. no body say, they are enjoying their meal..what a stupid thing to say, I am an ultra brilliant thing here.

This is my favourite riverside stop, lots and lots of seating outside, great food and prompt service (they even have plenty of dog bowls ! . We shared the nachos to start, there was loads to go between us and they weren't stingey with the toppings. Hubby had chicken and ham pasta, and I had the burger. I particularly liked the different topping/sauces I could add, I had sour cream and mint for something different. I couldn't finish my chips, too many. When the sun is out, you can't beat this spot. Looking forward to our next visit

"We usually love coming to Cafe Rouge in Henley, always a treat for us and we are always looking forward to it. However the most recent visit was awful and it’s been going downhill over our last coupes of visits. We booked a table for my father in laws birthday. Upon being seated, we were informed that 3 of the main course dishes were unavailable.. pretty much half of the ‘mains’ options. We don’t come to Cafe Rouge for Burgers or salad! We opted for 3 portions of Mussels as had them here before and they’re very good! Mother in law just had pate as there was nothing else she wanted. These were possibly the worst mussels we’ve ever had. You could tell they weren’t fresh (cooked from frozen for sure) and there was barely any sauce in the pot! Usually they are flavourful and abundant in sauce! No check back was performed by the manager on duty..it was a quiet Monday so wasn’t exactly run off his feet. So we couldn’t alert him. Even upon clearing we weren’t ask how our meal was! Just asked if we had finished. We decided to mention they were awful to which the manager told us he would inform the kitchen. When he came back to finish clearing, my partner asked if they were frozen or fresh mussels, to which the manager replied yes, they are frozen. Wasn’t expecting that but you could totally tell! They tasted like cardboard! We had a coffee and a pudding and to be fair to the manager he didn’t charge us for one portion of mussels and the coffees we ordered. The Bill was certainly not worth what we had. Didn’t leave a tip, which we never normally do, but the service was non existent. Manager was more interested in what was on his phone. Won’t be rushing back"
