"rustikale tradition weinbar in the mainzer old town with very friendly service we had reserved a table in the weinstube hottum in the old town long in advance for the stay in mainz. it is one of the oldest wine bars of the city and the rustic furniture are authentic and very cozy. besides a very good offer of regional weeping there is a nice selection of diners. The wine bar classics are prepared from fresh quality products petty-bourgeois with pfeffer. we have blood clotted with apfel chili cahutney and potato buffer as well as sülze from the porkbacke with bratkartoffel and salat. the parts were so good that we could share them. both dishes were perfectly prepared and have convinced us tastefully. the fried bloodworms tasted vigorously and had a creamy consistency. Together with the carrot buffers and the fiery apple chili cahutney, he reminded us of a refined variant of the celestial and ead known in the Rhineland the slender sülze des porkback had a delicate texture and a balanced spicing. the bratkartoffelns were prepared very well with mindfulness - nothing tastes worse than sweet roasted potato. Conclusion: the visit in the weinstube hottum corresponded to our expectations throughout the line. immaculately prepared petty-bourgeois cuisine and an authentic dish-free wine bar bee."

I arrived by chance in this small but charming local and I found excellent foods, friendly climate and carefully chosen wines. I decided to celebrate my birthday here in a really special atmosphere. It will be my place of heart to mainz!

small but fine weinstube with a good selection of regional but also some supraregional weepings. super to good price eat. outside the corona time a super place to get into the conversation with people as they are distributed from tables. we're gonna get some pictures again. Thank you.

I went to the restaurant with friends, with out any recommendation. We find this place nice and ambience was German "what ever does it mean". Steak, lamm file,.."Bratkatofel excellent with good prices. Desert to recommend will be my first choice "gebratene Apfel ringe". Waiters very, very kind. Will komme again

We found this place on Yelp when searching for "cheap eats" and we were not disappointed. When we found it we were slightly confused as there is no hostess stand, you seat yourself. They do have an English menu which we appreciated. My husband wound up with a braised beef dish and fried potatoes. I had a garden salad with a standard German dressing then fried eggs with ham on toast, a Mainz speciality. Food quality was great as was the service.

found by tripadvisor (I wanted a typical restaurant), at dinner alone I am placed on the table with other adventurous, German but that speaks both English and French, which guides me between dishes and wines. Excellent choices (I look for jelly, never eaten before, typical dish is told to me, prunes cooked in wine with ice cream and cream, simply fantastic) and reciprocal tastes (a fantastic moose placed on slices of roasted apple). Great local chardonnay. Very typical local, average price, but with excellent quality of food. Unfortunately, it opens at 4 pm and I had to give up a bis at lunch.

"twice we were in the patagonia in mainz, at the opening on the 15th March and as we liked it so well, again on the occasion of our high season on the 31st March. the first visit we made with our three little children and it was as it should be, that is, unproblematic. we came in and felt comfortable. the ambiente is so heartless. there are food for children, a high chair, place in restaurant, so that the children can walk around, the hosted outdoor area is closed with a forte – you are child-loving. the restaurant was well visited, yet eating quickly and hot on the table. the meat was very tasteful outside chess inside tender and juicy (rib eye and rumpsteak,) the finely prepared supplements underline the taste, with a red wine merlot or cabernet sauvignon the experience. during the second visit we had an salat and empanadas after the classic freshly prepared aperitif pisco sour as an appetizer, and on request a compilation of all: empanadas de queso, empanadas de pino and empanadas de camarón – queso all of it. the salat ensalada perales con queso (mixed salat with gorgonzolabällchen in mangochutney, weinbirnen, pistazien and balsámico walnut oil) is an unusual but a very successful harmonious taste experience. then the steaks: lomo puerto varas (rib eye 220g) and lomo torres del paine (rumpsteak 350g) again outside chess and inside tender and juicy – also the 350g piece. the meat comes from chile and is chilenic, medium is standard, prepared. with the spicy supplements and matching wein this time the excellent pinot noir expresión reserve 2009 a pleasure. due to the experience of the first visit we have deliberately not ordered the filet (because you know it is perfect, has to be perfect) because we wanted to know how to deal with normal meat. conclusion: you can and indeed very well! the desserts papaya chilena (chilenic papaya filled with mascarpone cream and skyberry sauce) or helado de miel de ulmo (ice from ulmenhon with poppy and skyberry sauce) then represent a successful conclusion with an excellent coffee. a few small things are to be improved to get to perfection; as always at restarts of restaurants that are not part of a chain that individually start from ground. but the passion, the heart for the thing is clear to see and feel: you are really special on the best way."

"Pizzeria Popeye Why do you call a pizzeria after a whirlpool? I find no indication, especially the operators are real Italians. Was Popeye Italian? I don't think so. At least there are some dishes with spinach on the map. But from the front... This small pizzeria lives mainly from delivery and collection. No one is lost in this corner of Bretzenheim. Neither a sign shows here, nor can you see it remotely, simply hidden in the middle of the residential and office blocks. I noticed when I bought rolls nearby. My lady was sworn twice with friends and from the fresh pasta. Then it can't be that wrong. The ambience is, how should I describe it? Let me know. A glass box, right next to a KFZ workshop, within the “kitchen” and a counter on the drinks are prepared. A few more tables. I haven't seen any toilets, but I think I'm around the corner in the same building. Then there are outside seats. Every campsite is more cozy. There is a pot with herbs and less edible greenware, but it was also with color and a feeling of joy...
