"we were booked to stay here for the weekend and booked to eat dinner here at our first night. it was really nice! I had to change the booking from 7pm to 8pm and that was not a problem. the menu was small but tasty and the staff was nice. good was presented and at a good price. we were so impressed that we did not eat in oxford con our second night and have booked last minute again for dinner in white hard. After drinking we immersed in the bar and also got 2 drinks. wonderful. we will return!"

Excellent service and even better food! The Risotto was amazing, but came a distant second to the Steak Pie-Mash the best meal I had eaten in a very long time!

The dining room is big and airy and relaxed. We had simple food burgers etc which were great. One of us had fish and chips which looked excellent and I was told were superb.

Really great service, good menu and nice ambiance. We had 2 Sunday roasts that were really good, 2 burgers that were excellent. Deserts were cheesecakes that were great and a chocolate brownie equally as good. Price was good value, recommended to everyone.

Last minute booking. Not particularly welcoming on arrival. Older waitress needs to learn to smile! Beef and Ale pies were good but leek, salmon and prawn tart totally overcooked, dry and tasteless accompanied by undressed salad leaves. Potatoes were good. Desserts were nice. Not wowed but overall ok

The site described the establishment as a hotel and restaurant, so of course I thought I would book a restaurant when I booked the table. The lunch menu was however very limited and the ambience was more like a café or a bar. We decided to go somewhere else. A more detailed description would help people make the right decision for their occasion. .

We were here last year for New Year and enjoyed it so much, we decided to do this again this year. All about our stay was excellent and our evening meal was delicious (and breakfast next morning). The bar is cozy and ideal for a pre-dinner drink and the restaurant is beautiful, with excellent service from all attentive, without "too much ", very well made

The hotel is in a wonderful location and the staff gave us a great welcome. The room was lovely and the restaurant very impressive. The hotel isn’t far from Oxford, so we drove 15 mins) to the Redbridge park and ride £5 all day) with a 10 minute bus ride into the centre of the City. It’s so much nicer to return to the serenity of Dorchester at the end of a busy day. Highly recommended
