"A very average meal. We ordered the beef roast and chicken roast. Twice we had to ask the kitchen for forgotten ingredients on the plate. As the roast only listed 3 items in the menu description, it is disappointing they couldn't remember to put 3 items on either of the plates. Yorkshires were cold and potatoes were hard. Cooked and then not reheated enough. Chicken roast is served with beef gravy. Not good enough for £18 a plate and to then we had to pay extra 12.5% tip on top of this."

The staff very kindly moved us twice, the first time to avoid an adjacent doorway, and the second time to distance us from a noisy party. We then enjoyed our meal very much

really nice, cozy, country pub with open fire. be good if they also did rooms they said they had plans for in 2019. Eating was delicious, although a little on the expensive side. A pity that they do not make merlot through the glass, but the wee I had (malbec) was just as good. would definitely come back.

Very good fun tonight. Food very well cooked and delicious (often a bit hit and miss at the Wild Duck presumably depends if they have a chef on that evening). But lucky tonight Service really excellent ....just right, not too intrusive, but quick and attentive. Not cheap, but anything any good isn't is it.

helpful and friendly staff, great atmosphere for the land and our cousins from the city! everything that would be useless without super food; on thin french and light crispy teig on fish, simple tastes can get the most difficult, right, but we all enjoyed a nice lunch without having stupid prizes. we will come back together next time! silvester 2018. great night. excellent eating as always and the balance between eating, drinking and celebrating was really well met. big dj got the party of 10 watches and with the help of some like leaning partygoers we saw the new year with a bang. let them mention the côte de boeuf very special! charcoal on the outside, but pink in the middle. perfect. can't wait for the next visit.

Nice place but we visited on a cold day and and if you weren’t seated directly in front of the open fire it was chilly in the restaurant . Also some of the food needed to be hotter than served. And I totally disagree with the service charge, on our bill it was £30 thank goodness it was discretionary the service certainly didn’t live up to that high charge. That should be removed entirely and left at the customers discretion. Kind of changed the mood of the lunch which was a shame.
