"We enjoyed our Sunday lunch at this restaurant, which was delicious and well-priced. However, one member of our group ordered the treacle sponge pudding and was not satisfied with it. She found it to be dry and lacking in syrup. When she requested more syrup, it was served in a small pot that was very hot to the touch and difficult to handle. Unfortunately, she described the overall experience with the pudding as "dreadful", which was disappointing considering the rest of the meal was enjoyable."

Although I was dining alone I didn't feel out of place and the waiter called me Miss which was quaint particularly as I am a long time married woman!

The specials board is in an odd place and not easily visible, but there are great food options on it and also on the regular menu. We really enjoyed the steak.

Came for a girls’ pre-Christmas lunch (turned out to be a three course meal! Lovely friendly staff, excellent choice of food, delicious meal. It’s not the first time we’ve been and it certainly won’t be the last. Highly recommended.

WE ARRIVED FOR OUR PRE BOOKED TABLE AT 18.00 ON A THURSDAY EVENING ONLY TO BE TOLD THAT A COUPLE OF ITEMS WERE NOT AVAILABLE, OK SO WE CHOSE FROM THE MENU ONLY TO BE TOLD THAT NOW THOSE ITEMS WERE UNAVAILABLE, AND HAD TO DECIDE AGAIN, THIS IS NOT VERY GOOD SO EARLY IN THE EVENING, AND MAYBE IT WOULD BE BEST TO ADJUST THE MENUS WHEN ITEMS HAVE BECOME UNAVAILABLE SO TO AVOID THE DECISION MAKING OVER AGAIN. THE FOOD WAS VERY NICE AND SERVICE WAS GOOD THOUGH.

My friend and I had a lovely evening and meal there. We were informed during the evening that the pub was closing for a few months for refurbishment, all we can say is that we chose the World's End because of the way it is at the moment so please don't take away the lovely atmosphere that it has at the moment, we did consider going to the Beefeater at Crossbush but looking at the website photos and reading the reviews which were poor we decided that it looked rather plain und unwelcoming.
