"I visited the Yu restaurant four years ago with my late partner and we both enjoyed our experience there. However, when I tried to book a table after she passed away, I was told there were no available spots for a solo diner that night. I found this behavior disgraceful and heartbreaking, especially considering my connection to my lost partner. To overcome this issue, I booked a table for two and had a pleasant dining experience at Yu's restaurant. The service was exceptional, with friendly and well-trained staff. I ordered the same starter and main dish that we had enjoyed four years ago in an attempt to relive happier memories, but unfortunately, the food did not live up to the standard we remembered and was quite pricey at £44."

I had a very disappointing experience at this restaurant. We waited for 20 minutes and were completely ignored. The staff did not even ask us what we wanted to drink.

Food was small for the price, chicken was rubbery, initial drinks took a while to come out. after 30 mins of leaving the restaurant we are hungry and had to order a takeaway.

Lovely venue with upmarket contemporary styling. Food menu was pricey and what you would expect from Chinese food. The serving staff were polite and very attentive. Food was tasty and well presented. Plates at the end were clean potions too small. Overall a nice experience but a one off :

Myself and five friends went to this restaurant on Saturday, the 14th. The staff were excellent, however, we were disappointed by the poor quality of the food. The ambiance was too dark and the music was too loud, making our experience less enjoyable. I would not return or recommend this place, I'm sorry.

Passed this place loads of times but it's always been closed when we were passing. Read the reviews and went with an open mind. Very disappointing menu with little choice, 4 starters, 2 mains and a side of vegetables. Over £100 and we both left hungry! On a positive the hargow were some of the nicest I've had.

Excellent staff and service...it is apparent they have been well trained. They were all friendly yet professional. The food was good. But I'm afraid it is heavily overpriced. A very well presented bar and restaurant but the music was far too loud for a restaurant setting, obviously catering for a specific demographic. It's a shame...we won't be rushing back.

Absolutely love this place, the food and service is amazing, first visit we were with a party of 18 and the set menu provided was exceptionally good. A second visit and 4 of us sat in the teepee in the garden area, the service was fabulous, so friendly. The food was fantastic yet again with generous sized portions. Will definitely be returning even though it’s not on our doorstep.
