"This special is back in Hamburg til 3 September 2017. So I took advantage of their offer. €64 for 2 people 4 course dinner. The bread was very fresh and tasty, however, the chef presented a tomato paste like spread that was not tasty at all. I thought we would receive something special since it's Hamburg Schlemmer Sommer, however, every table got the same spread.Next was a grilled Calamaretti w/stuffed sundried tomato on baby leafs. It was delicious. The main entree was Monk fish and King Prawn served with Rosemary, celery & lemongrass reduction on Ratatouille. It was cooked to perfection which is really hard to too.....its a very delicate fish. Way to much celery was used in the Ratatouille......that's all I saw. While the fish was cooked well, their was no spices/salt/pepper used.Dessert was a Honey & Melon ice scoop in a glass of Champagne w/mint sorbet. We ordered Two bottles of Red wein and Still water. We found out while our fish was perfect, my friends was not. She ordered the A'La Carte Three fish dinner with salmon, cod & Jacobs Mussel. Her fish was completely over cooked, dry and not edible. We were shocked because had our fish not come from the same kitchen, no problem...but how can our fish, which is almost perfect and on the other end, here fish overcooked??????She didn't touch her meal, instead just ate the cucumber salad which came with her meal. The waitress was apologetic but didn't offer another meal nor remove the dinner from the bill. This place sits directly on the Elbe (River that runs through Hamburg). Take bus # 112 from Altona train station. It has a very nice ambience and a ton of character. Sit outside if you can and enjoy the river views and boats/ships that will pass by. There was a wedding on the nite we dined so they can take private parties.Overall, myself and my colleague had an OK dinner. However, not my other friend.Would I go back......let's see."

Hamburg, a port city in northern Germany, is known for its maritime heritage, vibrant culture, and local dishes like Fischbrötchen and Labskaus. It's a blend of old charm and modern vibe.
