"Some parts of the dishes were delicious, some tasteless. Delicious scotch egg surrounded by very watery and unseasoned lentils. Meat board OK, but not generous enough. Fantastic duo of lamb with dauphinois and cabbage. Fish and chips, OK Rhubarb and custard panacotta a few pieces of poached rhubarb served alongside a regular (rather tasteless panacotta (where’s the custard? Beer nothing special, Saul Blanc ok (cold at least! Service fine."

"With no water in our village due to an accident and damaged pipeline, cooking at home wasn't so appealing so we headed off to our favourite bar and restaurant, the Corner House. The place was busy and technically full as many people had the same idea, but the staff rallied round to make room for us and despite them being run off their feet, the food and service was still absolutely fantastic. Congratulations to Luke and the rest of the staff, you really pulled it out of the bag... and this is exactly why we go back there time and time again. We couldn't recommend it more, 5 stars every time."

"Booked a table for lunch but arrived a little early which was no problem at all. We were shown to our reserved table where we ordered a lovely cooked full English breakfast. The Service was good and the breakfast was delicious! The coffee was lovely, it hit the spot on such a cold morning. We weren't rushed although the restaurant was busy. I can't fault the restaurant, the food, or the service. It was perfect."

"What a fabulous early evening meal we has. Hubby and i are on a lovely long weekend in Rogeston. Everything was easy right through from making the reservation to paying the bill. Lucy, molly, bo and Joshua looked after us really well, great team work. We opted for: starters....2 x meat platters. Very generous and we should've shared one Main...Rump steak, chicken Very delicious. Lovely crispy and salty saute potatoes. "Unfortunately having arrived at 8pm items were already unavailable in the menu. There was no welcome or greeting just a launch into ‘Do you want to drinks or order?’ For a prime positioned boutique hotel that is very cleverly and attractively decorated hotel it fell short. With our preferred starter unavailable we order the aubergine tabouleh main course which when it arrived was tepid to cold and certainly reheated and the tabouleh was simple couscous with some scattered pomegranate seeds. We chose not to eat it and to pay for our drinks a steep £21 for a single G&T and a bottle of sparkling water) and leave. The Duty Manager listened to our complaint but I think they need to review the quality of what is offered. It could be a magical conservatory in the summer if the service and food were markedly improved."

"We have been home a month now from our visit and we still talk about our stay at The Meadowpark. Siobhan and the team do a wonderful job and truly make you feel at home. Need something just ask and they were happy to help. The Castle Room is absolutely luxurious and we were quite happy to stay in. The little touches tea cakes, beer in the fridge and the Scotch Tablet disappeared quickly! The breakfast basket was the perfect way to start the day as we gazed over the fields at Stirling Castle. We had dinner and it was excellent too! A memorable stay and we can't recommend it enough! The only issue we wished we had stayed 1 more night...Next time!"

"I dined at this restaurant with my partner and her parents last night for the first time and had an excellent experience. The food was cooked perfectly and all dishes were served together. I ordered the RibEye cooked medium rare and it was delicious. I will definitely be returning to this restaurant more often. The atmosphere was cozy, the staff was kind, and the service was great. The average price per person was £20-30. I would rate the food a 5 out of 5."

"The clue is in the title, this is place that delivers on several fronts. Whether you're looking for brunch, lunch or dinner The Coast is a fantastic choice. Join them at any time during the day and your tastebuds will be delighted by the dishes available. Not that you have to eat. The bar space is a great place to stop for refreshment at any point during the day. The bar staff know how to serve a cracking cocktail too! The bar and dining room has a warm, chilled out vibe think bare bricks and wooden floors even when it's buzzy busy. A visit is made all the more enjoyable by super friendly front of house staff and a manager who knows how to keep customers coming back for more! It's a top spot in Cowes and not to be missed!"

"It has been a while since I last dined at The Dolphin and I have previously enjoyed it. The new floor was slippery and wet, which was a bit concerning. The food was average; my wife and I had the leg of lamb which was well cooked and tasty, but the accompanying pea risotto was not great. The most disappointing aspect was the lack of consideration for disabled customers. The back door, which is usually easier for those with mobility issues, was locked. The front entrance had a couple of steps, making it difficult to navigate. I would suggest installing a slope somewhere to improve accessibility. Additionally, improving the path to the upper car park would instill confidence for those at risk of tripping on uneven ground."

"BEAUTIFUL!!! We finally managed to come and it did not disappoint. After several unsuccessful attempts, we have fell in love with Sacred Grounds. "We went here as a family of 4 after going to the cinema. We had a fabulous meal. One thing that really stands out is the way they handled the nut allergy my daughter has which was amazing. We were a bit disappointed the scallops weren’t available however were happy with the prawns, bao buns and haloumi. For mains we had 2 half lobsters, prawns and pulled burger all of which was well cooked and tasty. The service and staff here are super friendly and attentive. We will be back and most probably for a Saturday brunch which sounds amazing! Dietary restrictions: Very good with nut allergies"

"Very disappointed. Took my work team out for Christmas lunch. Table booked for 115pm. Arrived a little early hopping table you we ready as it was hard to book. Restaurant very quiet, no reason for it the be hard to book. Sat for 35 mins before and order was taken and had to ask for it to be taken. Ordered from the set Christmas menu as we thought that would be quicker. Just over 1 hour before starts arrived. Wasn’t anything difficult that required much cooking. 25 mins before main course arrived. Christmas diner and Cod order. Both dishes ok. Turkey dinner very large compared to Cod. Turkey a little dry but overall good quality ok. Only one drink order taken thorough. People at the table had to go looking for staff to get another drink. Asked for the bill after main course. I had to go looking for someone to let me pay it. Total 2 and 1/4 hours in the restaurant. Very disappointed with the service and speed. I missed a meeting for it as I could not be rude and get up and leave plus I was paying. I can understand it’s harder at this time of year but the place was empty and for £30 for 2 course I expect better. Would not come back."

"This restaurant is very elegant. The service was superb and the atmosphere was delightful. We were able to find a free off-road parking space. The dining experience was excellent with a variety of delicious dishes to choose from. The recommended dishes include Caesar Salad, Skinny Fries, Tempura Prawns with Sweet Chilli Dip, Baby Back Ribs with Barbecue Sauce, and Bread with Butter and Olive Oil. The restaurant has plenty of parking options, all free of charge. Overall, highly recommended."

"First night of a long weekend in Rode looking after a couple of chocolate Labradors, we were able to sit and eat without the dogs being a problem. Me and my life like real ale and they had a couple of choices from Butcombe brewery, the ale was kept and served well. The menu was great and they helped my wife who is dairy free and marked down all of the items on the menu that were, or could be made, dairy free, great service! When our food came it was lovely, well presented and tasted awesome. They are actually booked out most days so we were lucky to get in, we tried to book for Sunday lunch which they managed to squeeze us in, so we are looking forward to going back for this. Highly recommended but try to book your table in advance by a few days at least so that you’re not disappointed."

"I once believed that this restaurant served the best roast in all of London, especially because of their Pork Belly dish. However, my recent visit was extremely disappointing. My partner and I were looking forward to returning, but our experience turned out to be awful. The main reason for this was the change in head chef, which was quite evident. The service was slow, with drinks taking 30 minutes to arrive and our starter being forgotten. The beloved pork belly dish was no longer on the menu, so we settled for beef. Unfortunately, the beef roast we received was thick, rare, and difficult to cut. The side dishes were also inconsistent and arrived late. To make matters worse, I found a hair in my food, prompting them to bring me a new plate with minimal portions. The service was lacking, with no one checking if we needed anything else and the staff appearing disinterested. They even brought the bill without itemizing it, expecting us to pay immediately. I had to correct them on the charges, as they had included the hair-infested roast and drinks. Overall, it was a terrible experience and I would not recommend this restaurant. There are better roast options at the same price point in nicer locations. When I asked about the change in head chef, it was confirmed, which explained a lot. It's a shame that the previous chef's pork belly roast, which was once the best in London, is no longer on the menu."

"I am am american, was for the first time in london, and searched “spots for afternoon tea in London” on google and it listed queens of mayfair. "This is the second time in 4 weeks that I have had Sunday roast here and both times were really really nice. On both occasions we were 4 kids and 4 adults. The staff were super accommodating and helpful. We had beef brisket and the kids had fish and chips. Nothing seemed to be too much for the waiter serving with us who went out of his way to make sure we had everything we needed. He even went off to find something for my fussy lad who wanted chocolate sauce rather than caramel which wasn't even on the menu! We shall be going again! Also to top it off they have a really gorgeous sunny beer garden with fabulous valley views."
