"We discovered this fabulous restaurant on our 1st visit to a Buckland rental Cottage for a month in 2017, a 2-week Christmas visit in 2018 with Christmas Day dinner reservation made from the USA with Carol. Three more one month long stays in 2019, 2021 (Buckland rentals) and 2023 rental right here in Childswickham and stays always include multiple lunches and dinners. Sadly, we will have our last dinner tomorrow night, prior to our return to the USA very early Saturday morning"

"Wow, wow, wow what a bad bad place to order food from, I ordered a burger with no salad and sauce, chips and Mozzarella sticks, the food arrived after an hour later, chips are soggy, no crunch at all, felt more like a fruit winder, still burnt and black and still had the skin on them, the mozzarella sticks more like chewing a burnt tire, cold like they’ve been sat there for century’s, now the burger, as I opened the “gourmet” burger it was a big beef patty slapped on with salad and sauce witch I specifically said don’t put in it, so after calling them back asking for my money back continuously they would not give it back. Now I’m starving now just asking for a new plain burger they finally even agreed to that all because I said I’m putting in a complaint about them. Now I’m waiting for my burger I see them arrive I step outside and the furious driver forcibly nearly enters my house I had to lock the door bear in mind I’ve got 4 kids 1 disabled) I got back and have a look at my burger and the disgrace of a business ess have gave me the exactly the same burger salad and sauce even though the manager said he will make it himself which he obviously didn’t) now after calling them back and them answering and realising it was me they put down the phone and every time I try call them back they don’t answer, seriously do they call themselves a business because the only bit of business going on there is the crack feins that hang out outside the shop. Please someone needs to shut these down"

"Kind of mixed bag to say we are regulars.... Postiives, great atmosphere, generally very good food, can usually get in....just a nice place to be! Negatives: regularly tiny potions of chips (can never see why given they truly cost almost zero) huge portions at Burger Joint for example; won't let you run a tab, so you have 4 invoices through an evening....won't let you book even if you offer a deposit (and are regulars); seems little management will make you wait for meal even when 4 people all hogging different tables and working with a single coffee and laptop. So there you have it loads good about it, but kind of patchy/not responsive customer service."

"we had an absolutely AMAZING night with julia and her fabulous team at walkers of whitehall. I can't sing her lob enough. we were a group of 34 and we booked the downstairs bar for our annual Choir dinner. we felt so looked around all night, the personal could simply not do enough for us. julia answered all my asking super fast and when there was a light mix-up with the drinks packages on the group menu, she threw them free in two extra bottles of wine. the team thought of everything and even connected my iphone so that we can have our own playlist. the food was exceptional and very good value for the price; I was particularly impressed by the nicely cooked steak! the food was overthrown by court as brought out, but this was completely expected for a group of our size and not distracted from our night at all. I had brought four large numbers of balloons and other decorations, and the personal agreed very kindly to dispose of them so I didn't have to worry about. all in all it was a wonderful night for the annual dinner of our group and in such an amazing location and we loved the vaulted bar. everyone who came told me how brilliant a venue it was. I'm coming back in a definitiw! thanks for all of them at walkers for a fantastic night."

"Been wanting to try the artichoke for lunch for ages, went today.....perhaps not the best of days....apparently a member of staff was a no show which meant the one lady behind the bar was a running all over the place and we waited for 45 minutes for a baguette and chips. The baguette was actually a soft sub roll, which was OK but not a baguette. Half of the fish fingers were mostly batter. Chips were good, so were the onion rings. A heads up to the wait for food would have been good. On the whole...OK....Will try again I think, but not yet."

"Such a shame we knew they didn’t have the full vegan menu (October 2020) but still had good options, popped in Tuesday afternoon to check for a family lunch the following day and were told we couldn’t book outside tables but to come before 3.30 after which they just served pizza. Arrived Wed 1.30, shown outside by a very friendly man we met at the door who I took to be the manager went to ask for menus and were told they weren’t serving food outside! No tables available inside (prefer outdoor anyway currently), wondered about takeaway sit out? But no. Ended up in the pub opposite with a bowl of chips as only vegan option. Will try again another time as it sounded good. Disappointing though."

"First time I actually wonder into Luton while waiting for someone to land on the local airport. Found this place on Trip Advisor and tried it for breakfast and was not dissapointed! Realy good food, with a twist and quite varied, they seem to have something for everyone in a medium to small menu. The expresso coffee was good as well and the staff top notch. Nice music, to cheer you up in the morning as well."

"Some parts of the dishes were delicious, some tasteless. Delicious scotch egg surrounded by very watery and unseasoned lentils. Meat board OK, but not generous enough. Fantastic duo of lamb with dauphinois and cabbage. Fish and chips, OK Rhubarb and custard panacotta a few pieces of poached rhubarb served alongside a regular (rather tasteless panacotta (where’s the custard? Beer nothing special, Saul Blanc ok (cold at least! Service fine."
"With no water in our village due to an accident and damaged pipeline, cooking at home wasn't so appealing so we headed off to our favourite bar and restaurant, the Corner House. The place was busy and technically full as many people had the same idea, but the staff rallied round to make room for us and despite them being run off their feet, the food and service was still absolutely fantastic. Congratulations to Luke and the rest of the staff, you really pulled it out of the bag... and this is exactly why we go back there time and time again. We couldn't recommend it more, 5 stars every time."

"I highly recommend this place. I went for a meal with my husband here last night. We both had a starter, pate for my husband and stuffed peppers for me. They were both faultless. My husband said it was the best pate he had tasted and my peppers were delicious they were both accompanied by a tomato chutney which was also delicious. My husband had the steak for his main and I had scampi. The portions were really generous and every element of the meals were excellent. Don Paddys is a really friendly venue with great staff. They allow dogs in which I think is a great idea. I have been here at lunch time and also in the evenings just for a drink and have enjoyed evey occasion. It is a gem of a place to eat and drink."

"Booked a table for lunch but arrived a little early which was no problem at all. We were shown to our reserved table where we ordered a lovely cooked full English breakfast. The Service was good and the breakfast was delicious! The coffee was lovely, it hit the spot on such a cold morning. We weren't rushed although the restaurant was busy. I can't fault the restaurant, the food, or the service. It was perfect."

"Back from our holiday in England I just have to say that, after a long journey from Cologne in our mobile home, walking into the Hinds Head was just about as close to Heaven as I'm ever going to get! The pub itself, so warm and cosy, the smell of their wonderful food, the welcoming staff I wish I could put it into a bottle for a bad day! The food was heavenly too, especially the roast. It took our minds off the bad weather as well. Thank you all again and we look forward to coming back. Su"

Desserts...gelato and a limoncello spritz If you want to be looked after, have great food and a wonderful view over the bay stop looking and make a reservation. Dietary restrictions: Really clear for vegetarian, vegan and gluten free Parking: There are designated spaces for restaurant customers. We used the main pay and display"

"Our first time in Pachinos and not sure if we would return. Based on the food, absolutely but the excellent food was let down by the poor service. We have to call a waiter to take our order, and at that he beckons to another waiter to do so. We ordered two bottles of wine and water. We got the wine but had to chase them for the water. We tried in vain to get the bill and then pay for it, and having waited so long we did something we never do, we did not leave a tip. Excellent food let down by poor waiting staff surely is something that you can improve upon. On a side note, another restaurant operates upstairs, and while the guests do not come into Pachinos, the noise level is very high, which affects the ambience."

"Unfortunately having arrived at 8pm items were already unavailable in the menu. There was no welcome or greeting just a launch into ‘Do you want to drinks or order?’ For a prime positioned boutique hotel that is very cleverly and attractively decorated hotel it fell short. With our preferred starter unavailable we order the aubergine tabouleh main course which when it arrived was tepid to cold and certainly reheated and the tabouleh was simple couscous with some scattered pomegranate seeds. We chose not to eat it and to pay for our drinks a steep £21 for a single G&T and a bottle of sparkling water) and leave. The Duty Manager listened to our complaint but I think they need to review the quality of what is offered. It could be a magical conservatory in the summer if the service and food were markedly improved."

"After taking a refreshing walk through Ballsbridge, we stumbled upon Maia on Shelbourne Road. The enticing aromas wafting from the front door were enough to draw in our group of five. From delicious pancakes and fresh fruit, to eggs Benedict and Florentine, to a hearty full Irish breakfast, accompanied by plenty of tea and coffee, we were all fueled for the rest of the day. The fact that every plate was left clean spoke volumes about the quality of the food. The service was quick, friendly, and efficient. Overall, we couldn't have asked for more!"

"We have previously enjoyed eating here and last night thought we would treat ourselves. The food was good but our waiter was surly. We are not demanding people and ordered a set menu and a couple of drinks each but it really felt like he had better things to do. At the end of the meal we decided to pay via the QR code on the table. A ‘discretionary’ tip had been automatically added to our bill. In the circumstances we would have preferred not to pay this but it seems the only way to avoid it would have been to confront the waiter himself. It’s not cheap eating out these days so you do expect friendly service to make it special. I know service staff work hard in sometimes challenging situations. However this experience left a bad taste in the mouth and has put us off visiting Wahaca again."

"We have been home a month now from our visit and we still talk about our stay at The Meadowpark. Siobhan and the team do a wonderful job and truly make you feel at home. Need something just ask and they were happy to help. The Castle Room is absolutely luxurious and we were quite happy to stay in. The little touches tea cakes, beer in the fridge and the Scotch Tablet disappeared quickly! The breakfast basket was the perfect way to start the day as we gazed over the fields at Stirling Castle. We had dinner and it was excellent too! A memorable stay and we can't recommend it enough! The only issue we wished we had stayed 1 more night...Next time!"
