"Great meal at a great price.. I took my girlfriend out for dinner at 1709 on Saturday 03-Jul. Service was good and the food was excellent. The value for money on the food was superb and will definately eat there again. The wine was more expensive than I 'd hoped, but it won 't put me off going again. The variety on the menu was impressive and I was happy to pay the extra £1 supplement to have the more 'exotic ' food. Definately worth another visit."

Small cosy venue is well established in the town and provides lunches at a very competitive price. Good home cooked liver pate and the roast hake very good and a reasonable wine list.

Great value, fab veggie options. Would have liked a slightly bigger table for the 4 of us small lady with 3 guys, not oversized but lean, broad and tall. Your wine list is small and beautifully selected too. Thanks.

Beautiful food. Everyone at table was happy. Staff were lovely, welcoming and helpful. They even gave me a taste of the custard before I ordered my pudding because I mentioned that I don't like vanilla! Not joking! They're that lovely

came over this place yesterday so glad we did. nice eating and although busy service was excellent. I know how hard it can sometimes be. have all recommended ready to friends and would recommend to everyone. Verry good place to eat. and the prices are also appropriate. 5* all round

This was one of our regulars many years ago, when we lived locally and this little restaurant was known as Pistache; it was always one of our favourite lunch retaurants. We were extremely pleased with our return visit The food was as good as we remembered from previously and the atmosphere just right. Just what we had hoped for, for an important, but informal, family meet up.
