"we visited ribbles today for a 40th birthday plate. we were not disappointed! we were greeted by lynn cordially and shown to the best reserved table in the upper floor, the whole place is beautifully decorated with old wood furniture and very cozy. the tasty plating of sandwiches and cake quickly came after our coffee with bubbly on a quirky miniature picnic table. we will see ribbles and the beautiful environment very soon! many thanks ribbles"

"On a positive note, the staff were generally attentive and friendly, with one exception who seemed offended by remarks about how unappealing Becks Blue is as a non-alcoholic beer option, especially when there's a far superior choice like Cobra 0.0. I ultimately chose a coke, which tasted flat and cheap. I also observed that the tablecloths have been removed, possibly as a cost-saving measure. This resulted in unattractive, cheap-looking brown tables that also contributed to the noise level in the restaurant. The atmosphere was quite loud, exacerbated by poor music and cramped seating with tables packed closely together. The large television in the waiting area felt tacky and unnecessary. Regarding the facilities, the men's restroom left much to be desired. There was only one toilet and one urinal, along with a single cheap bottle of hand soap for a restaurant of this size. As for the food, it was just okay. I had a stuffed vegetable paratha, which I suspect was made with frozen, inexpensive vegetables that you would find at a supermarket. I only managed to eat a quarter of it because it wasn't enjoyable. I also tried an aubergine dish that was quite bland and not cooked to my liking. From what I could see, none of the dishes served to our table of five included fresh herbs. I might consider giving this restaurant another chance, but it’s not somewhere I feel eager to return to anytime soon."

"A zero if possible. We ordered a take out, picked up (we only live a 2 minute walking distance) rice was almost cold, curries flavourless (my partners was meant to be extremely hot and it was not borderline spicy, all side dishes flavourless and greasy, raita was congealed, poppadoms stale. Worst Indian takeout we have had. Complete waste of money and it went straight in the bin. Better takeouts in the area. Service: Take out"
