"Been coming here for years but it’s been a while. It’s always been good and absolutely deserves all the positive reviews. I’m not going to list the food. Go look at the menu. It was astonishingly good. I’ve done a fair few fancy London restaurants and several with Michelin stars. This place just effortlessly kicks many of them to the kerb and I don’t understand why folk aren’t clamouring for a table. It’s not particularly cheap but it’s certainly not stupid prices and there aren’t too many places these days where you leave thinking that it was absolutely worth every penny. It’s a beautiful dining room too and Sally on front of house perfectly attentive but discreetly so. Will be back very soon. Thanks Asquiths"

Love this place, stick your best frock on and dine in style. Food is beautiful, wines are excellent and well priced. Tables (6 from memory) are well spaced giving you good privacy. Luxury that doesn't break the bank.

Came here on a whim and luckily they had a cancellation so we could go. The food was sensational, lovely to look at and bursting with flavour. I had the chocolate tart with banana and yoghurt ice cream…. That ice cream was pure joy. One scoop isn’t enough. The staff were friendly and attentive. I recommend this restaurant but do book in advance. View menu

I visited this restaurant for my partner's birthday, as Asquiths is our go-to place for special occasions. My partner, who is a chef and hard to please, always enjoys the flavors here. The service is excellent, the food is great, and we've been to Michelin-starred places that don't compare to the quality of this restaurant. Thank you for a lovely evening.

This is a wonderful, cozy restaurant offering a modest selection of fine but generous dishes. I had the kedgeree that was delicious followed by a rich chicken pasta dish that was reminiscent of old school french Keith Floyd style with a rich cream sauce again, really delicious. Very reasonably priced, I would highly recommend this restaurant for couples small groups.

we chose this restaurant whilst we were visiting Cornwall, based on its good reviews and we were not disappointed. It is tastefully decorated with coloured paneled walls and comfortable seats. The food was of high quality and very well presented on the plate. You were given time to casually enjoy the flavours of your meal, with a suitable time period between courses for you to digest. I would recommend if you are in the area to book a table to sample the delights of this restaurant. View menu

Although I don't typically leave reviews for restaurants, I felt compelled to praise the exceptional dining experience we had at Asquiths in Lostwithiel last night. The attentive staff went above and beyond to accommodate my mother's food intolerances, modifying her menu selection (the venison haunch) with care and understanding. The food, prepared to perfection and presented elegantly, was truly delicious. The outstanding service and charming decor made our evening unforgettable. Thank you.

We had made a reservation for dinner at this restaurant after hearing positive reviews, and we were not let down! The charred mackerel starter was intriguing and delicious, and the halibut main course was a sizable portion, perfectly cooked, and accompanied by a tasty sauce. While my dessert was satisfying, the starter and main course were exceptional. The wine list was extensive, and the house white was both delicious and reasonably priced. If you're in the area, it is definitely worth a visit!

"So let us share our experience, We went in tonight as a family after seeing that it home made food on the drive to sennen and looked online and had a good look at the food available on the menu also looking to see if it was dog friendly and it ticked all the boxes, Upon arrival me and my wife went in 1st to ask if we could have a table for food and if dogs can go inside and staff were a little unsure but they confirmed we could upon asking for a table for 7 but one in a pram he said we don’t have the availability to cater I was looking at a table big enough and eventually said that this table was available whilst being seated we had 2 table one clean and the 2nd just been finished with so needed a clean but he came and cleaned both tables and he squirted the cleaner on a clean table and the over spray bounced off the table and went over our selfs then we were handed a menu freshly printed A4 paper thrown on the table (WET TABLE) so they stuck to the table upon agreeing what we wanted we went to the bar within 2-3 mins of being seated we knew what we wanted and when we asked for the meal it was OUT OF STOCK (Sunday lunch) ok fair so as I was with a family member at the bar I quickly rushed back to the table to ask my daughter of an alternative she wasn’t happy, So I made a meal up of all the extras on the menu so I went back to the bar to find my family member ordered 2 fish and chips then I realised my wife also wanted Sunday lunch so I quickly rushed back to ask her what she wanted and went back to the bar just as my family member left and asked for fish and chips was also sold out also! 99% of the menu was SOLD OUT this should of been discussed upon arrival not as we were ordering I run and operate my own business and this isn’t how I would treat my customers this isn’t how an establishment should be ran! Even when I was standing trying to order a member of staff was standing there arm against the wall doing nothing while customers are standing waiting to be served! So we decided not to eat and my family member went back to the bar to ask for a refund as we couldn’t eat as a family and the staff were iffy about offering a refund but 10 minutes later they did refund my family member as it became a scene for other people as they could see what had happened! This establishment should be call the 1st and late time you come here! We ended up walking to the chip shop down the road for food we are very disappointed in this company and establishment! For anyone who wants to eat please make sure they HAVE STOCK how can this establishment run without stock? Never again tonight they lost over £200 revenue due to this situation!"
