Eat in this restaurant and you will eat France. I cannot tell how wonderful this little place is. So typically French. Escargot, a Bavette steak with frites cooked in goose fat. It was fantastic and a great wine menu. A highlight of the holiday.

a beautiful semurian discovery for a lunch. We took the salmon paved and its delicious sauce, accompanied by a green salad and a small rice coconut. I took a chocolate mousse in dessert but was rather disappointing (see the quality of the dish). The service is fast. View menu

The food was classic French cuisine, good portion size, deliciously tasty and not pricey. The restaurant itself has a great ambience and a lovely location in this medieval city. However I think on the night we visited they must have been short staffed as the service was very slow. Hopefully this was a 'one off ' and it would not stop us from returning.

We visited on a busy Saturday for lunch reservations were necessary. The server had a lot of tables to take care of but she did a great job with a lot of spirit! The food was excellent we loved the onion soup, escargot, duck and lamb shank. Desserts were a treat! Wine and beverages were also very good and well priced, We enjoyed our visit and can't wait to go back when we next visit Semur en Auxois.
