We visited the restaurant for a Saturday dinner. Overall it was a good experience but we felt it is a bit too heavy on the pockets for the portions served.

balans westfield rating 4 of 5 we went to the brunch today. the service was excellent. eating was good (I had the masala omelette) but a little over price for the portions everything in all it would recommend for a quick brunch at shopping

My salad was made up of exactly two prawns, about 10 corns kernals, a sprinkle of black beans and three slices of avocado – all for the bargain price of £8.95. Luckily (sarcasm alert) they did not skimp on the lettuce as the bowl was overflowing with it.

Balans is one of those great chain restaurants – unlike Jamie’s Italian or Nandos – that can still lure me in despite having the growth of a very strong brand. Based both in London and Miami, their UK branches include Bluewater, Soho (twice; one of which is open 24 hours), Earls Court, Kensington, Westfield Stratford City and this past Saturday’s choice, Westfield London.

I visited balans for a prominent brunch with uni friends after our last hand. it was quite quiet (unsafe as it was 10 o'clock on Monday), and it quickly became a table for the five of us together. at the end my friend and I shared the speck pancakes and eggs benedict and it was delicious. the eggs were boiled for perfection, served in English muffins with strokes of hollandaise, while the pancakes were thick and fluffy, the speck tasted perfect. the beautiful at balans is that they really do any breakfast option, pancakes, French toast, eier, chorizo con papas, avocado toast, that are going to do. they would find something that suits every breakfast taste. we have our...read more

As a frequent Westfield visitor, I love to try out new restaurants within the shopping complex, especially those that I'm less familiar with. Since the closure of Cafe Concerto in The Village, I've struggled to find a comfortable coffee lunch destination that I can spend a little while catching up on work. At first glance, I saw Balans potential at being such destination Their menu is well trimmed of sandwich filler options and includes a wide variety of dishes with a wide range of ingredients which will make any foodie excited!
