we have booked a table for a Saturday breakfast and have been booked by any asspice of our meals: welcome, cleanliness, service and the excellent English breakfast. Top quality ingredients, we will definitely thank you for all involved.

we met for the birthday of a friend to brunch and were served by jess. despite the fully booked restaurants and the short staff, this was really attentive and took care of us really well. the food was delicious smoked salmon and avocado on toast was a highlight. the personal brought a cake and even sang our friend. we're coming back!

I went to eat here with non-bands. the restaurant has a quite large selection of food. it was great to have available a few options, all marked clearly. I had no meatballs, which was nice (the sauce would have had more taste). the vegan pizza (with vegan cheese) looked very good, the next time will try. the best part of the culinary experience was the fact that they had dessert one that was not sorbet! the sticky toffee pudding and salted caramel ice was delicious.

I dined at this restaurant with non-vegan friends for dinner. The menu had a diverse selection of dishes to choose from, with clear labeling for vegan options. I tried the 'no beef meatballs', which were enjoyable, though the sauce could have been more flavorful. The vegan pizza with vegan cheese caught my eye and I plan to try it next time. The highlight of the meal was the dessert selection, which included a delicious sticky toffee pudding with salted caramel ice cream, a pleasant surprise compared to the usual sorbet options.

I went with a friend who knew St Albans and was pleasantly surprised with the atmosphere for a Saturday night, which had a great vibe but wasn’t over the top. There was an amazing amount of space especially around the bar area which means you never felt crowded out, restaurant looked busy and the staff were very happy to help. We stayed right until the end and talked to a few members of staff who were chilled out, relaxed and kept smiling throughout. Music was never stupidly loud so you could have a conversation and drinks pricing (we didn’t eat) were what you expect on a night out. So a good place to visit on any time of day and this brand doesn’t try and over do it. I’d come back.

We went to The beech house in St Albans for lunch and the restaurant is lovely and inviting. The Guinness was really nice. We ordered turkey escalope with stuffing and roast potatoes and the lovely fresh tasting pizza, delicious. We had a few problems with little black flies wanting our drinks and one went into our new pint of Guinness but the staff were really attentive and changed the pint without being asked. The thing that really needs attention is the toilets. Why have you got toilet roll in holders on the floor next to the toilets in both the men's and women's toilets? It's the most unhygienic place with splash back from the toilets. Please look into the various repairs that are needed...

The fit out of the restaurant is very nice, had a nice atmosphere the staff were very friendly and bubbly which was nice…. Just very much let down by how long to food took to arrive (which other reviews have noted , didn’t seem too busy either. Got to a point where we were looking around to see who else came in after us was getting our orders before us. My order was also wrong wanted to try to Lentil Pasta which was GF and the pasta came all stuck together in one big clump, due to how long to food took to arrive couldn’t be bothered to get it re ordered.
