Exceptional cafe. Wonderful home cooked food and cakes. Dog friendly which is great. Really tasty Christmas specials!

Excellent service really efficient. Food delicious try the Craster kippers. Be warned it’s very popular and we had to wait but it is worth it.

I had a wonderful lunch at this restaurant while visiting the area (I had been before and loved it then). The burgers were cooked perfectly. The service was outstanding. And the tea was delicious. I hope they keep up the same quality in the future.

I absolutely love the atmosphere of this café. The staff are all fantastic. I ordered a coffee and scone, and while the scone was delicious, the coffee was disappointing. The black Americano had no crema and lacked flavor. They could use some improvement in their espresso brewing skills. Despite this, I will still give them another chance and come back in the future.

I had a wonderful stay at a charming B&B located in a central area with a cafe downstairs. The room was cozy and well-appointed, with a keen eye for detail and high-quality furnishings. Breakfast at the bustling cafe was delicious and beautifully presented. I only regret not being able to stay longer to sample more of the cafe's offerings, as the cakes looked absolutely amazing! We were in Warkworth for a three night stay at a nearby hotel.After one night we had to leave the hotel as a result of a boiler breakdown. What a slice of good fortune! We spent the next two nights in one of Bertram's boutique rooms. Excellent standard of accommodation, great breakfast, very helpful and friendly staff. (The cakes looked good as well but we were out and about at afternoon cake time! Thank you so much, we will definitely be back.

I visited today and requested 3 cheese 3 fruit scones to take away. The scones were not on display and were packed out of my sight. I was charged £11.20 which I thought was a lot. When I unpacked the scones, to say I was shocked, disappointed, disgusted and annoyed is an understatement. The cheese scones were the size of a 50p and the fruit weren’t much bigger. Included was 1 butter, 1 small jar of jam 1 small jar of clotted cream. I appreciate that the cost of ingredients has increased in recent months due to cost of living, but £11.20 for what I got was extortionate. I used to love this cafe and recommended to everyone, but not any more, I will not be back!!

Met a friend here for lunch. It was our first time; our friend knew it well. I liked the fact that they had a breakfast menu, a lunch menu, and then a section which was breakfasty food that gets served all day perfect. Our orders were a soup of the day, a bacon sandwich and the avocado with egg, bacon etc on toast. Comments on soup, and bacon sandwich were totally delicious. However, when my avocado came, it was very oxidised and grey. I wondered whether to send it back as I don't like complaining, but I decided that I would. They justified it by saying it all gets smashed at the start of the day then gets piped onto the toast... however, they happily took it back and ten or so minutes later... View menu
