"We like this restaurant a lot. We have tried a number of Indian restaurants in Wellington and nearby since moving here and this is our favourite so far. The restaurant is in an interestingly shaped former pub built in the early 60s inside is spacious and well decorated, with a nice bar as a central feature. Service was friendly, attentive and efficient throughout. Food arrived in good time not too quickly or too slowly. Admittedly, this was on a quiet evening so I cannot comment if this is maintained at busy times. Started with poppadums these were fresh and came with a nice selection of chutneys. For mains we had two lamb curries with the Tipton holy trinity of rice, chips and naan. All were good quality and tasty. With the meal we had a beer and glass of wine. To follow we had a glass of brandy each, which came in pre warmed glasses (nice touch). Total bill for food and drinks came to £44 which is better value than other restaurants we have eaten in locally over recent months. Overall a very pleasant experience. We will be visiting again to try other dishes off the menu. Recommended."

Really pleasant evening, food well cooked and presented, staff very welcoming, all in all best food I’ve tasted in a while- maybe leave room for a pudding on our next visit, as definitely be coming back again 10/10

Such amazing food, always very tasty and hot. Service is excellent, very friendly and helpful staff. I have been to many Indian restaurants and this is the best. Their butter chicken is always my go to as it is amazing.

Being honest, I had avoided this place for a while just because I thought it looked a bit tatty on the outside, but once inside, you're greeted by friendly, knowledgeable staff who will go out of their way for you, and a clean and modern interior. The food always arrives piping hot and delicious. Portions are perfect.

Overall a really nice dinner, came out to the blue elephant whilst on a family visit. Food was good, nice flavours… I’d say maybe lacking slightly in spice, but can understand less is best. Had to wait a bit for dishes but nothing over the top, just it wasn’t overly busy and seemed a lot of staff. it was nice evening out and I will return

Collected a takeaway early on Saturday, an item was missing which I didn’t know until I got home. Rang and was told they would call back later to organise a refund. I normally like the food here but the meal was burnt. Picked out lots of black pan scrapings from the biryani. Not up to their normal standard. Never got the callback about the refund either. Will probably be avoiding for a while to see if they can get their act together.

We were back here as the only restaurant we would go to now, when visiting Birmingham. Worth the extra drive up to Telford. The food is just amazing, the service impeccable, with a lovely atmosphere. It is reasonably priced and I would recommend almost all the dishes as I tend to try a new one each time, though my favourite is a bhuna. Had a lovely night with my family and would like to thank the staff at Blue Elephant for a lovely evening out.

We have been to the Blue Elephant in the past and when my son, who lives about 200 miles away said he was visiting and would like a curry I booked at table on Saturday evening. The six of us met up, we were met by a friendly waiter who sat us down. The service was very good, food was very tasty and the bill wasn't so much of a shock as we suspected. One observation, as we've had Indian meals throughout the years in different parts of the UK is that other restaurants, on sitting down, we are normally asked if we'd like a drink and some poppadoms whilst we are choosing from the menu. Blue Elephant don't do this... I just wonder if it's for a reason.... In no way is it a criticism just an obser...

Worst Indian I’ve ever been to, service was the worst I’ve ever experienced, ordered drinks and the pop came warm, ordered a chicken and king prawn curry mixed and only got 1 king prawn, but after I raised this issue up with them they told me they only put one in for all there mixed curry’s which I know was a lie and never would of ordered if was told earlier about it, curry was extremely spicy to the point I at to leave the curry as it was uneatable I raised this up with them also and they began to be very aggressive 5 of them came over shouting in my wife’s face, they still tried charging me extra for only 1 prawn in the curry, toilets were very filthy, please give this place a pass it’s a...

"we wanted to visit the midlands and family for the first time since Christmas and in the frame of the visit I decided that we would take my mother for a nice Sunday dinner. she lives in telford and I am not familiar with the contrary so that I am on tripadvisor for ideas. I mean, I was looking for restaurants in Telford and sorted by rating; clays of broseley was the best from the list and that was what I booked. it is about a minute drive from my mother place through a beautiful shropshire landscape. we arrived in broseley a little early and found a parking space right in front of the restaurant. we were invited to take place on the terrace while they opened and had some drinks. I had a fantastic homemade limonade with glittering water, my mother had a Rhabarb juice that was so delicious that we were strolling home with us and my wife had a very nice pot tee. we had booked a table that had been placed in the restaurant for us, but we were offered the table on the terrace for lunch, which we liked to accept as the weather was perfect. we all ordered from the midday card, which for two courses and for three courses was a fantastic bargain. I ordered salmon and hake meatcakes with delicate brokolli, spargas and a white wine sauce and my wife and mother both ordered the beef Sirloin roast dinner. I was so impressed with eating. honestly, this restaurant lives up to all reviews. the ingredients were fresh and tasty and not refined as they get some places. to dessert my mother and I both had the rhubarb and custard' and playful plate that rhubarb compott, gelee, vanilla cream and small mygues combined crazy. the perfect end for every afternoon. during the meal were the employees (I'm sorry to say that I didn't get their names) attentive and friendly. our month old sohn, henry, has a stinking cold and has teethed, so was not on his best behavior, but the staff was fantastic with him. They even went so far that they broke out one of their dogs, a beautiful, huge dog called barney, for henry's entertainment. to cover everything, and this is great for parents of small children, they had a full baby change unit, complete with diapers, wipes and unhappy bags! I can honestly say I've never seen this before. all in all, for three nets, two desserts and drinks, the bill came less than unnecessary to say, I intend to visit again when we are close. I really can't wait."
